Steve beat his wife Here's what Austin himself says in his book, The Stone Cold Truth: Two years later [after they were married], the incident at the house happened. The police were called and it got national media attention. You can talk about it, read about it, and discuss it. I can't--legal reasons. Then we got divorced, which I can't give details on either. There is a gag order. All I can say is I truly regret the whole ordeal. That's probably the most he'll ever go on-the-record about regarding the situation.

When I listen to Stone Cold, I get the very distinct impression that Rick Rude and Bret Hart are two guys more than almost anyone that Austin really looked up to and tried to learn from. Or another way of putting it, Rick Rude and Bret Hart taught Austin more than any other wrestler.

@@kentuckybeararms I think those were more like his heroes in the business moreso than guys he learned from personally, but I'm just speculating. All I know is when you listen to Austin talk, he talks about Rick Rude and Bret Hart telling him things and how much he learned from their example as he was coming up. When it comes to Flair and Dusty, it sounds more like hero worship, at least to me.

I started out a big Hogan then Warrior fan. Rude was the first heel I liked. He was such a great bad guy and just a solid total package. He had the look, the skills, sold so well, and had tons of charisma. After him I didn’t stick to one type of wrestler, I liked baby faces and heels, whoever had charisma

@@ponokanaka Went through a similar thing. At first was a big Warrior mark then when I got a little older I started realising I actually liked heels too and Rude was one of the first after Mr Perfect who was my favourite heel, plus he had Bobby Heenan who was always gold

Back in the 80's my dads friend had a company that he would tear down the phosphate pitts after they mined it all. His company was called Southern Salvage. Mr. Wonderful aka Paul Orndorff worked for Barney. Well mainly what his company did was cut up and haul all the steel I beam off to scrap. So if anyone has seen a normal sized torch to cut metal. Lets say a normal torch is 14" long and cut 1" thick steel.his torch was 3 or 4 times larger to cut through thicker steel. So you couldn't use a normal size acetylene or oxygen bottles because they would get empty pretty fast. So the bottles Barney had were atleast twice the size normally. Anyway so my dad happened to be down there one day working on a frontend loader. He said Paul would grab one bottle by himself which normally took two guys to carry up. My dad said he was super nice guy. I never met him, no one under the age of 18 could venture out to imc property.

Rick may have bought the wrong cartridge, but 7mm-08 is a far superior chambering for deer. 7mm Remington Mag is overkill for anything smaller than elk. 7mm-08 is one of the best hunting rounds ever made. Flat shooting, light recoil, and more than enough power for anything in the lower 48.

Funny story but also interesting that if indeed a 7mm mag extractor actually grabbed the 7mm-08 rim it might have gone off and they would have had a bad day. The bolt face should be a bit bigger for a belted magnum but he said they were ejecting, idk, lol. Still a funny story.

@dumper87
@dumper87 Жыл бұрын
@@GeneralBuckNaked I don’t hunt anymore. I just think it’s boring as hell, and the cleanup afterwards sucks. But if you really want to get into it, there’s dozens of bolt rifles on the market for under $500 that shoot >1 MOA. .308 Win is a good all-round cartridge that’s super easy to find in lots of different loads. Interesting fact, 7mm-08 is just a .308 necked down to 7mm from 7.62mm. But as much as I love that round, it’s expensive and not as common as it’s parent. Now if you wanna be trendy and use what all the cool kids are, that’d be one of the 6.5mm rounds.
@TheNotimprezed
@TheNotimprezed Жыл бұрын
@@GeneralBuckNaked Winchester model 70 or XPR in .30-06 will get you started for big game. Very versatile round. Ammo is easy to find. Easy resale if you don't like hunting or the gun. Caveat watch your hunting zones where you are to make sure you can rifle hunt. Some places I like to hunt in NY are limited to shotgun. Speaking of which something like a Remington 870 will get you into waterfowl, turkey, grouse etc.

The 7mm Rem Mag packs more velocity than the .30-06 Springfield while having less recoil than the .300 Win Mag. Mr. Wonderful knew his big game cartridges. As far as Rick Rude goes, while he may not have known about hunting, he knew how to fuck and fight. He was the sort of guy who could steal your girlfriend AND kick your ass. That’s what made him the best heel ever. RIP to both legends, Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff and Ravishing Rick Rude. They were real men from the era when the business had true stars.

I've always wondered what's the story behind Rude's anchor tattoo. Back in the day, the only source of info about Wrestlers were the Apter mags, and they never talked about details like that. Ergo, before the internet, I had always assumed that he must've served in the Navy. However, I could find no mention of that. Maybe because Minnesota, like my home of Michigan is abundant in waterways and thus is abundant with Fishermen ( something he was apparently very talented at ) and other nautical folk.

??? It’s just a .308 necked down to 7mm. The shell might have gotten stuck in the chamber but it wouldn’t have blown anything up. Besides that cartridge is so short, the firing pin couldn’t have made positive contact with the primer in the first place. Even if it did touch the primer, the fact that the cartridge had room to slide forward means the strike would’ve been too light to ignite it.

Here is a Rick Rude fishing story. Ocala, Florida late 80's. I was getting ready to leave the Ocala shopping center. And there is Rick talking on a payphone and out of the gas station walks out Jim Neidhart with a case of bud under each arm and walks over to a beautiful bass boat being pulled by a Nissan 300zx turbo. He loaded the cooler with the beer and they both jump in the ZX and drive off in the direction of the Ocala National Forest. BTW for those who do not know Florida is the fishing capital of the world.

LIFE IS A VERY UNPREDICTABLE AND FUNNY THING. THAT'S WHAT ALOT OF US DON'T REALIZE. IT HAS NO GAMES IN IT. JUST LIVE MY THE MOST HIGH RULES. AND THINGS WILL BE HAPPY AND COOL. THIS IS SOMETHING I ALWAYS SAY THE MOVIE YOU SEE IN FRONT THE SCREEN IS DIFFERENT FROM THE TRUE LIFE MOVIE BEHIND THE SCENE. GOD BLESS EVERYONE.

One of the best heels ever. As cheesy and homey as his character was, he was a definitely a man’s man who I wouldn’t want to fuck with. And if a girl ever tells you she doesn’t like muscles, show her one of Ricks Videos……not a dry seat in the house……

Fuck, the girls wouldn't even need to see the muscles, just show them his mustache and watch the floodgates open.

I showed my 26 year old girlfriend pics of Rick Rude when she had seen his name as my gamertag and asked, "who's that?" She told me she thought he was hot. A good physique with a power stache will never go out of style.

It didn’t sound like he cared about cussing, he just didn’t like Steve saying God damn due to his religious beliefs!
