In Part 1, the manga panels started with jolyne. In part 6 it ends with jolyne. Truly poetic stuff.

Almost every shot in this OP pays homage to a previous opening. The scene with the cast being protrayed in colored silhouettes references Part 2's opening, and Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town to a degree too. The shots of the characters looking up at the starry sky is a VERY ON THE NOSE reference to Stand Proud. Pucci posing with Dio's children parallels the Pillar Men's group poses in Bloody Stream as well. The action shot of all the characters attacking combines the choreography of Stand Proud and Fighting Gold, with Emporio firing his Ghost Gun lining up similarly to Mista firing his revolver. When Jolyne and Pucci stand off at the end, they strike poses at each other with a similar rhythm to Joseph and Caeser posing when facing the Pillar Men in a shot from Bloody Stream. Edit: also, it just occurred to me that you somehow missed that the shot of the clock flipping upside down is referencing the C-Moon fight and its ability to flip around the direction of gravity. But that shot is ALSO a reference to Traitor's Requiem, which has a similar scene of a shot flipping upside down.

If you look closely at the imagery of all the joestars, you can see that on Johnathan's is the sun, which kinda represents hamon but also that his is the first one to fight/have the curse to fight evil. He's basically the dawn whereas jolyne is the dusk/ setting of the joestar bloodline in this universe

Just another note: the final scene with Jolyne facing off against Pucci does not (only) mirror the ending of Stand Proud opening, but even more so the final scene with Jonathan facing off against Dio, also with the subsequent zooming out in a spiral to then have Jolyine's pendant (symbol of the Joestar) instead of the stone mask (which I see as a symbol of Dio's curse, albeit being crafted by Kars). If one thinks about it, it is more significant for the final showdown of this Jojoverse to exactly go back where everything started, and you also noticed the constant callbacks of Heaven's Falling Down imagery to Sono Chi no Sadame.

I love how the anime version of the ending of stone ocean included FF because she wasn't there originally in the manga. Why that's important is because FF shares a role in the story with the main cast even if it's for a little while. It's also because maybe somewhere in the new timeline, FF could be living their life peacefully in the waters.

Kinda realized that Stone Ocean it's a reference to the myth of Orpheus through this opening song. Found it due that majority of translations, they use god of madness or god of insanity in the first chorus, which fits a Greek god called Dionysus and so take that both loses loved to a snake, pass through hell to get them back, fail and dies to a follower of someone with Dio in it's name.

Picture this: Cut to black, suddenly we're in the middle of the desert with nobody to be seen. A figure is running towards the camera, we don't catch a glimpse of whose face is it, but it's clearly a male holding something in his hand as the beginning of Roundabout begins to play. He continues on his path towards another figure in the distance, this time a female. A panning shot from top to bottom, slowly turning so we can finally see the man's face. It's none other than Sandman. TO BE CONTINUED. (I know it's not happening because they're not connected but c'mon that'd be sick.)

The shot with the characters attacking also takes its aesthetics from the start of the C Moon fight, as they're jumping atop cars flipping with gravity, and Pucci is standing in the tiled floor of Kennedy Space Station

I don't know if Hamon Beat will ever see this comment, as I'm a bit late to his Part 6 anime breakdowns, and especially late to his part 6 Araki Forgot manga video, but I have a question that's been nagging me about the finale with Pucci with regards to Jotaro's capacity to fight him. I won't rehash tired Star Finger memes, but in Part 3, I remember it being established that Star Platinum could catch things faster than a bullet that Jotaro couldn't properly perceive or react to in time. Now, obviously this could be a weird translation or me misunderstanding, but during the initial encounters with Made in Heaven, Pucci is said to be moving at around 300 times his normal speed, and is running somewhere around 300 kph, they even make reference to that being the speed of a bullet train. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but we're more than capable of seeing and perceiving something moving that fast, even if we can't normally react to it. And bullets move at approximately 2736 kph, or 370ish meters per second. If Star Platinum can catch a bullet an inch from Jotaro's head when it's moving that fast, then why can't he hit Pucci on the rooftop or during the encounters near the wrecked shuttle? Obviously the moment in the water Pucci is too fast, but what's with the sudden weird discrepancy where Star Platinum seems way slower in Part 6 than we've been told it is?

4:42 I think what's truly beautiful about this scene is the symbolism of this generation long fight between Dio and the Joestars. Every one of them struggled to clean up Dio's mess (Only exception being the Pillar men, but Staizo before that was one of Dio's mess, that Joseph had to deal with) , and now it is Jolyne's turn to face the last remnant of Dio, Father Pucci. It's Jolyne's turn, and her responsibility to end this.

It not only references every part prior but gives us that classic manga panel flip from Jonathan all they way to Jolyne now taking his place as the final descendant. It encapsulates everything about Stone Ocean, to its themes and characters. I really love it a lot. Especially that final sequence with the pendant traveling to the Irene universe. Given the ultimate goal of Made in Heaven was to cycle through the entire universe and back to the start, allowing people to live their lives with an innate knowing of the path they'd take, I find it really REALLY cool that they went back to the Joestar mansion in the final opening. I love these type of videos and honestly can never get tired of them! I actually noticed some things too and would like to hear other people's thoughts? At 1:28, with both the color scheme and it falling into her hand, I strongly feel like that was a subtle homage to Bloody Stream when the hands are trying to get the stone. Also when Jolyne is sitting with the universe behind her at 1:36, It feels like Joseph's "CESAAAR" part in Bloody Stream as well. As well as when Weather Report is turning, at 2:25, he's in the same pose as "Heavy Weather" before standing up which shows his true awakening I also think the whole character fighting sequence at 2:40 could reference Fighting Gold; it had similar patterns and relations in my opinion. Lastly, this could be a reach, but the color schemes of the Security Camera with Colorful Silhouettes of the characters in the 1:53 area remind me of CNBT and Chase. Could just be a coincidence though. All of these could be reaches but idk they reminded me of the other openings haha.

I will have to disagree strongly with you on this one. Non-final version of op didn't have almost any details, not to speak of subtle ones. The only mildly cool detail is moon phases. Apart from that, the opening was as basic as jojo opening can get: wow it's main characters and their backstory, how original (insert squidward face here). And all "hommage" is very surface-level as well. Final version is drastically better, of course, implementing the idea all the community was waiting for (going through previous ops because universe resets + legacy). Musically - very boring as well. Sana's vocals are as good as always, I guess... almost no complexity from instruments part. Didn't feel connected to any particular feelings throughout this season (unlike 1st op), didn't feel like jojo op at all, and that says a lot concidering how diverse jjba ops are.

Hello, I actually wanted to raise a point I've seen in several different Stone Ocean-related comments sections and I hope you can clarify or check this. People say that Jotaro's timestop being shortened by Pucci is actually a translation error, and Jotaro is actually just saying that his time stop is simply not long enough to act against Pucci. The evidence to back up their claim is that Jotaro counts down from 5 during time stop and states outright that his time stop is five seconds long throughout the final battle. However, if that's the case, how did that slip past the Japanese animators for the special opening, which as you said, depicts the time stop being shorter? Jojo fans have a reputation for spreading false information, but in this case I'm actually not sure what to believe and who is wrong.

Good to see all the previous JoJo's getting recognized well outside of their parts. Very cool DP and Araki

Another thing about the scene with Jolyne and pucci is that I believe it also references the famous manga panel of jotaro approaching dio

Pointing out things that may be in other comments: Everything speeds up after Jotaro's Time Stop is cut short including the song (Watch the clock tower too). Everyone falling upward is a reference to C-Moon's ability warping gravity. Everything crumbling is Made in Heaven erasing the timeline. The scene showing each Joestar also includes whatever item they were chasing or dealing with. Jonathan with the Stone Mask, Joseph with the Red Stone of Aja, Jotaro and Jolyne with DIO's bone, and Josuke and Giorno with the Arrow. When they're attacking Pucci while falling up, you can see the map of Florida in the background.

I know there are no chances, but....I'd love to see next parts made into anime

Why would there not be any chances? I think it's entirely doable for Steel Ball Run and JoJolion to be animated, by David Productions or otherwise.

@@TwojaStaraIFrytki it's not, but it might take a while. Horses are hard to animate which part 7 relies a lot on in the manga.

@@TwojaStaraIFrytki It will take a long time for them to make It because of CGI horses But i'm afraid that maybe they will go for the Berserk anime route and make Part 7 full CG....(They could use the visuals from the openings on it tho)
