It was a great challenge for me to build the stone stairs. I've never before worked with stone and cement like this. Learning how to cut and shape stone was fun and above all you need patience to get the stone to split the right way. It turned out ok for first stone work at my log cabin. I've done some mistakes that you probably won't notice in the video, but I was able to fix them.
Thank you for watching!

Love how the foreman cat inspects your work in the crawl space below the house, then quietly stands over you as you lay the concrete; making sure that you do the work correctly. Clearly that is one construction savvy cat. And of course when off the job, he sends in his second: Rooster McBuilder.

It was very interesting to actually be able to see someone completely learn a new skill on camera. You can see the lessons you have learned from stone to stone, getting better and better with each cut. This seems like a very fun skill to learn, and so satisfying to know that all your hard work is paying off right before your eyes. You have turned into a very good videographer and storyteller through your work with the cameras. We are all glad that you chose to film all this amazing, hard work and share it with the world. Bless you and your family, Nik

Nik you’re the kind of guy who I love to hire to do odd jobs that I can’t even think about tackling all day you’ve no skill in don’t something but that you’ll give it a good go and you 99 times out of 100 times build a masterpiece that you didn’t know you could do. You are all craftsmen living after your time just don’t realise it. Brilliant job even with your fancy labourers. 😂😂😂😂

And then you show us something different along with all your other unique talents which is a stone mason. As I watched you tinker with each chosen stone I could see that you got more and more comfortable with where and how you cut them. At first there was a mistake or two but nothing you couldn't deal with. You made it work. At the end you learned how hard and sharp to hit the stone to get nearest to a perfect cut. ..... Just as you said in the beginning it was a learning experience. You did well and it turned out spectacular! Keeping to the true artist that you are...another fine video. Thnx.
