There are many and numerous anecdotes about what an utter prima donna, egotistical prick he could be, so surely it's a bit of a stretch to call him a down to earth good dude.

He was the best. Unfortunately for all, he just couldn't settle down enough to become the middle aged rock star. He kept hittin it like he was still a young man, and the human body doesn't let very many souls get away with that.

It's sad he looked so healthy in his early years and you can see how drugs took a toll on his looks and his body frame. I only wish with all the money he had in the beginning that he could be alive and giving back and sharing his life with his children. They are the ones who are suffering and will continue to suffer from this tragedy!

Also the insane amount of pressure out on you by the entire WORLD to be your best even when you're not feeling the best. Most of us can take time off our jobs and recover from ailments without the universe hovering over our every living minute. The press was VICIOUS against Scott like no one could do any wrong with drugs except for him. He had to keep pushing and pushing through his demons and addictions until it broke him for the first time around the creation of Tiny Music. I can imagine he had romanticized it maybe at first as many artists do, but then it just becomes routine and then it becomes a sickness. What's remarkable is from 1999 after he got out of jail through the beginning of Velvet Revolver he was at peak performance like a goddamn Olympic athlete.
@gabrieldesta2113

He was a kid here only 28 I think this was late 95 because tiny music was released march 96 when I saw him in concert from 2001 and again in 2009 and 10 he was a completely different person he was beaten down by his life style but I had thought he overcame his demons I really don't think he saw his death coming because if you look at all of his final interviews he looks very hopeful about the future. A man who knows his time is up isn't hopeful about the future. I just think he slipped back up into that life style because he was clean for awhile after his brother died in 07. I could tell he was very very depressed compared to when I had seen him almost a decade earlier. Rip scott you'll always be my hero and inspiration for rock n roll. He was a good dude he helped me during my darkest times in high school when I was a kid. I'll always owe him for that.

right like? this is actually really good footage of scott, sure he stutters a bit but his responses are fantastic, he seemed full of motivation & inspiration, burnt out from interviews maybe but happy in the moment. he looks healthy too, probably the last time he looked anything like himself. scott and the guys were kind enough to give the interviewer their time, kinda fucked up to spin this footage around as something clickbaity and him being “strung out” after he’s been dead for 8 years… weird shit

I noticed Scott’s voice changed a lot during the early years to velvet revolver. I can’t tell if it was the grudge days that influenced his voice when starting or the drugs changed his voice as it progressed. I’ve been around drug addicts and when there high they do have that raspy voice. I love Scott and so sad his talent and life was fucked by addiction.
