It looks really cool like desert stone. It doesn’t really look like the granite you showed as an example as I feel it’s colors are far too uniform and the specks of paint are too small. Maybe it needed some black splatters or something on it. It does look cool, just not a reasonable replacement for the design that was used as an example

I started playing with epoxy resin almost a year ago and taught myself a lot during my diy experience lol I started doing it almost like a coping skill during a tragic part in my life and my very first project was a memorial heart with flowers and pictures! I was so excited to be able to save some flowers ! Love this method. What about a painted marble look? Possibility? Also, my counters are a laminated particle board and very old. Over time they have become slightly uneven (bowed). Will this be a problem with the self leveling epoxy?

It can be when applying color in the epoxy, this style we put clear epoxy on but if bowed really bad the self leveling epoxy may be thin on the bow and additional coats may be needed. Try to get the bow out with shims from underneath

You would want to pour the walls horizontal to keep the epoxy from running then installing vertically with silicone. We have shower epoxy videos on our channel. Lemme know if you have any questions

Geologically speaking, you can have brown splotches that you made your "boo boo" with. 😁😁 I really like this look a lot for kitchens. Looks real. One thing I noticed is that you didn't have a rough outer edge like in so many other pieces you've done. Was that intentional and could you have a rough outer edge? I imagine you can. Just curious. Good video!

For this project I was testing out this style to show a customer. This would work just fine with a rock face edge. I'd use the 2 little sponges that came with the big roller to hit any valleys the roller may miss on the edge. Great questions, thanks for watching!

That's cool have anything for installed countertops but there unlevel I think. But there white and black now

If you can try and shim up from underneath the countertops to bring the counters to level. If you can't, you can do a thinner coat where the countertop is out of level and let it dry overnight. Sand the leading edge of the epoxy to feather that transition and sand the epoxy. Now do your undercoat and pour the top this should help a ton to keep from the colors running to the out of level section. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Using this method with concrete would my base layer be a pigmented epoxy resin or polyaspartic to guarantee maximum adhesion? Then apply the colored paints as shown?

What prevents this method( laying down first a polyaspartic or epoxy base layer for adhesion) from being used on concrete exterior surfaces like an entrance way or landing with steps?

That looks pretty doable, but wondering if you ever do this with the counter tops already on - for instance, how do you do it smoothly around a faucet and over cabinets without making a mess?

You’d probably remove the faucet and maybe sink (if applicable) and mask off the cabinets with plastic sheeting so that they do not get splattered and you have a flatter surface to work with. Then when you’re done you reinstall the removed items.

No! Just make sure the oil based is fully dry and off gas before applying the epoxy. The epoxy will bond just fine to it. Great question!

No, just make sure whatever paint you use if completely dry before covering with the epoxy
