I remember watching the walking with dinosaurs series on history I think or something, but it was a documentary about dinosaurs who didnt talk, and just mostly killed eachother. so that was really cool. I thought that was what this was.. clearly I was VERY wrong..

+Art Evol That's exactly what I watched too. It was great, a casual and moderately informative documentary. My younger siblings and I would stay up all night watching the series. I'm not sure if this film is a remake of the 1999 series or if it just has the same title for some reason. It kinda overshadows the decent quality of the original.

It has the same title since it's from the same studio/franchise. Up to this point they had the original series, a couple "spin offs" focused on life before and after the dinosaurs, and Walking With Dinosaurs Live (which is actually pretty awesome). So this wasn't exactly a remake, it was just a different story focused on species that weren't in the original series. The franchise as a whole basically is a series of CGI nature documentaries. According to wikipedia, BBC had originally made it with a narrator like the original series, but when it made it to the States, Fox added the voice overs.

Thats a cartoon. It works for that. I haven’t seen this , but I’m imagining something like March of the Penguins with Dinosaurs. It would be like taking Jurassic Park and putting in all the dialogue for We’re Back: A Dinosaurs Story. 🤷🏻‍♂️ my 2 cents.

I liked JW1. Fallen Kingdom sucked and Good Dinosaur was underwhelming, but they both had subtle, quiet moments that worked. This did not.
