This is my daily driver! I love The Finals but what’s killing it is the fierce competition and the fact that randoms seem to eat paint chips! Every teammate I get is basically useless which makes the game extremely frustrating! If you don’t have decent friends to play with it’s just not fun tbh. There is no other game like it! For almost a year (started in dec last year) I played almost exclusively quick cash, which while fun, does get a bit repetitive, but within the last week I played power shift for the first time and it is incredible, each class is more viable, you need to adapt based on each map. Let’s say you are a light with a sniper, for defence, incredible, but when you need to push, you change your weapon or class (or hit your shots, but who does that), the variety is beautiful.

Finals is vastly underrated and this season so far seems way more balanced than previous seasons. The gunplay is great, the maps are good, the destruction is insane, the skins are top notch, the soundtrack is banging, the modes can be both casual and competitive and I’m kinda struggling to understand what major box it’s not ticking for the masses. Feel like this season may be a turning point as many will return and as we all know, FPS gamers tend to flock to hype and I’m seeing plenty of it right now.

The finals is a fun game. For me the things I had problems with early on is TTK and the difference of health bars. Feels imbalanced sometimes. Even though that's the point lol. This game also isn't vehicular or in the BR or extraction shooter market. But I do enjoy it. The finals with vehicles however would be cool. >_> Especially if the maps were made for it. It wouldn't be Battlfield exactly but it would most definetly be freaking cool. But yeah lol idk. I could see more silly sorts of vehicles and things more or less like cranes,Construction vehicles maybe, Mechs. But more or less vehicles tailored towards destruction of buildings with no guns attached.

The finals to me is something so so special, I’ve been playing since the first closed beta and I always feel like there’s no game like it. New ideas, smooth gunplay, visually stunning maps, both realistically, and with the more stylized such as SySHorizon and Fortune Stadium, customization that respects your wallet, natural, epic moments with teammates, and a pretty great community! All under these passionate developers that update the game week by week, I know it sounds like I’m glazing, but something is just so magical about this and seeing you talk about this game is absolutely amazing!

I don't understand how people still play cod.. I mean, it's a mess, feels like a low budget game programmed by bad students... Nothing works as it should. There are 1000 weapons but ony 3 or 4 are viable. No footsteps. "Update on steam. Launch. Update requires restart" - FML; can't fix basic bugs but the store gerts updated weekly; sniper headshot doesnt down? FML..I could go on and on, and I didn't even mention how broken aim assist is if you learn how to use it. A complete mess

It's been my absolute favorite and daily game since it launched. Nothing comes close once you get into the flow and learn the movement and techniques. And it really doesn't take a hardcore gamer to get into it. it can be very casual and fun if you want to. I'm glad to see big creators making content for it and trying to pull new players in!

Yes the combat flow is amazing here, call of duty style is pretty much who gets crosshairs onto the target first with its time to kill. That aspect of it is going for a grounded experience in that you getting shot first is bad and I think that’s what the public at large is used to these days. You will never jump off a high building crashing through the roof of a lower one with a sledgehammer here. The finals? This is John woo and everyone can take some shots before going down. It definitely has this fluidness to it that not many games capture. It’s almost like playing quake for me back in the day or team fortress with the way combat goes. It’s just wild and I love it.

It’s the lack of marketing and the learning curve. The Finals doesn’t have traditional TDM mode (nor I think they should), the destructions and classes systems tends to get really chaotic compared to a more ‘controlled’ competitive FPS like Valorant and CS, and playing as a Solo takes away at least 70% of the fun of the game.

This game is my go to shooter for me and my friends. Coming from cod since cod 4 and an even bigger battlefield fan this game was a breath of fresh air. I think the game has a smaller community because most people probably didn’t give the game a chance, I think some genuinely didn’t get how the cash out tournaments work. Because somehow I’ve seen people call the game “slow” sounds like they just got into one game, didn’t know where to go or what to do and quit after a round. All that being said the game is still alive and well but the game is so good you’d expect it to have 10 times the player count

I've been playing this game since closed alpha 1, have over 450 hours in the full release, and I can confirm that this game is unbelievably fun. The longevity isn't in the in-game progression yet, though, it's in learning and creating your own unique creative loadouts and finding your own playstyle. Also, use a monitor crosshair, bullets are hitscan and don't follow the iron sights, thank me later.

350 hours in here, this is the most fun I've had with an FPS in years. My theory for why people aren't playing is that it's genuinely something new. Everybody is playing Siege, Apex, Battlefield, Cod and Counter Strike, and can't handle the initial period of being trash that happens when you join any new FPS. I can't think of a new FPS IP that has done well in recent years, so because The Finals is so great, I think we can genuinely blame the target demographic for it's lack of popularity. Anyone who wants to get out of their rut of playing the same old FPS for years, please just give this a go, it is a breath of fresh air and so much fun :).

An underrated aspect of this game is its monetization: you can get a battlepass and within 7 hours of play have completed enough to buy the next battlepass. Hell, you can even buy a skin bundle that gives you a skin, plus the same amount of premium currency youd get, if you bought the currency alone. And the skins are GOOD, so its a win win. I bought the Metro Drifter bundle because i love the modern tacticool look and im now set for life to get all the battlepasses, with some extra premium currency each season to spare for other skins.

Constant updates, a battle pass you can get through with casual play with content that is worth the asking price. No deceptive alternative currencies behind weird walls or grinding.... Exclusive stuff that isn't dropped for $10 weeks later for everyone to buy after you've grinded for it. Fun gameplay, great community, hardly run into toxic comms or players. Devs that listen and actually implement changes and do so quickly. Banging soundtrack, insane character customization... list goes on and on. It's a real gem in today's gaming landscape. The ability to use the environment against players, make new paths to traverse - go horizontal and vertical against enemies, slow people down by removing paths and staircases, etc. You need to think a lot more then point and click which makes it more mentally stimulating for me.

@@johnc8209 It's not easy to find the right settings, but it's definitely doable. I recommend experimenting in practice mode - especially without aim assist. Once you turn it on and add some strafe it really sticks!

Great review...I'm a 54 year old dad of a gamer tenn and dont play myself but whenever my child downloads a new game to change things up a bit, i like to watch videos to see what other people are proclaiming about the game before he REALLY gets into it so much that he wouldnt want to quit even if i told him hecouldnt play it. Not that he wouldnt do as hes told but by finding out early on, it saves me from having to rip him away from something he might have already come to love so much. So i was especially happy with this review and was very glad to hear the finals isnt some type of demonic satanic evil game to influence kids dnd teens into doing evil. One thing I really wanna mention to new players as well is that the battlepass gives you your premium currency back plus like 4 or 500 extra! Such a great game with a great free to play model

Played a lot of this game! Graphics are amazing and the destruction is vast. The only issues I have are the low amount of weapons and some balance issues regarding classes (mostly heavy) and some weapons.

I love this game and I'm also sad not enough people are playing it I will say that for the season 3 trailer, which was shown for the Summer Game fest, some of the people I watched brought up that the announcers don't have direct voice acting but use AI for the voices. I don't think those streamers have even played the game, but it seemingly deters people that they use AI for this small part of the game.

I love this game so much. It’s my main. After being bored of traditional 6v6, and getting bored of Battle Royale, this game gave me that rush with eliminations, but also the feel of wanting to actually play Objective opposed to elims

gamers just don’t like good games it seems. this game is genuinely so so good man i wish nothing but huge success for it. this season is heat it’s balanced, new weapons are great, new map is great, and it just feels like this is the best finals has ever been. only going up from here. embark is an amazing studio they care about their game and it shows. i’m not sure why it doesn’t have more players for what it has to offer, but damn am i enjoying this game rn. it has something for everyone. and the build variety is great, gameplay loop is incredibly well crafted, the destruction mechanics are PEAK.

Seriously. You see people screaming for something new, and complaining that gaming has become stale. But when a new innovative game launches, they just seem to dismiss it for whatever reason. I've seen a lot of misinformation and just honestly stupid takes floating around the internet regarding the game. I get that the game might not be for everyone, but it should still be a lot more popular than it is right now. It's just too good, and brings so many new things on the table.

The finals is good but there area absolutely a lot of things in it that prevent it from exploding in popularity. Even without going into mechanics there's no sense of characters or a setting to ground the game which makes marketing a lot harder as the visuals aren't going to easily show the depth of the mechancis. In terms of mechanics: For one balance is arguable at best, people are already complaining about the pike dominating, the state of tools like the rpg. Alongside this you have complaints about how some setups can get very powerful by just stacking them on a team. Even ignoring the balance aspect the game can easily get annoying at times which can push away the more casual audience. Some specific things like triple medium turrets or triple heal beams + defibs can be annoying. But the biggest one is probably getting 2 teamed on in cash-out as that's a much more frequent occurance being basically a feature of the main game mode. That's just from a casual perspective too the more competitive side of the game leaves a lot to be desired and also begins to show some of the flaws in design. Especially with how tournament cash-out as a mode just isn't a good fit for a rank system and the developers attempts make it fit anyway create a lot of undesirable side effects. For example teaming up with other teams is a natural consequence of 2 teams advancing to the next round with no downside for being second place, so its not uncommon to see first place willing to give up their spot to secure a going into the next round. Or for first and second place to work together to prevent a cash-out going into overtime to secure both their pots. Ontop of that there's situations where first place will go out of their way to help another team get into second/first because they either hold an advantage against them mechanically or its a generally weaker team that makes their next match easier (say helping a team with player disconnects win). In addition to all this season 4 now shows you explictly how much rank you gain/lose depending on your placement which while a good quality of life change, has also made a side effect where some teams are perfectly willing to not win a match and instead play for 3rd place to secure ranked points. Which creates a nightmare scenario where the game can become every team against the team in last practically garaunteeing their loss. This is all just the fundemental issues with ranked tournament cash-out, there's plenty of other issues on top of that like how being unable to change equipment during a match can easily lead to fighting at a disadvantage if another team's setup counters yours.

one thing to add about the battle pass is you can buy the premium pass with the multibucks you get just by completing the normal pass. It really makes the grind worth it and stays loyal to the free to play. Every skin is attainable (aside from store) You can also purchase individual items in the store instead of having to buy the whole bundle which is dope

let me tell you the problem with this game is that most of the pepole don't even know this game name or it exist and they don't target the bigger group of people like china, india, pakistan, south korea, Malaysia, Philippines e.t.c they are the bigger group they should advertise to those guys by collab or other method. the game does not have many flaws and if they know they would play the game. like i hardly ever heard bad review of this game

After 22 Apex legends seasons, this is the game that got me to move on. Unlike Apex the Audio works, Unlike Apex the servers work, Unlike Apex the skill base match making is balance, Unlike Apex they are quick to catch and ban cheaters. Unlike Apex there are no cheesy loot box gambling mechanics, the cosmetics you want can be purchased at a very fair price you'll happily pay. Unlike Apex you don't have whiny pros that sway the game to their favor against the interest of the player base at large. Seriously invest a solid 50 hours into this game and you won't itch to return to Apex or whatever other dumpster fire you are fleaing.

You've nailed this video, it says everything you need to know about The Finals. Ive been saying all of this since the open Beta. A true gamechanger in FPS games. It has the best movement and smoothness out of every fps game imo. An absolute banger!
