Yep I grew up in the 70's & 80's with this. My adopted mom used me against my adopted dad. He was such a sweet man. He didn't deserve this. She would say "I'm out of money for your daughter, I need more!!", as she's buying $85 high heels or Gloria V designer jeans! He knew what she was doing. He would send more $! She did this from when I was 7 until I was 18 but I most remember it at age 10 until I was 18. As a kid, I saw how she made herself look bad, although she was hoping it showed him as the bad guy. Kids know what's right and wrong and they see who is good and bad! I really hated being stuck in the middle of this and he really loved her and me so that's probably why he just forked over more money even though he was probably hurting badly inside! I'm so glad my adopted mom didn't have SM because if she could've figured it out, she'd have destroyed him. Idk, but I've seen these videos before from another KZbin Influencer and everyone was saying this guy was ab usive and she tells her side how he kept her from having 💰 and not being able to get away. I've been in that situation too, so there's that. Now I will say I feel like both of these two somehow were draining my energy, they were energy vampires so I quit watching them, I'd had enough....so don't come for me, say what you want to say to me but I don't really care so you'd be wasting your words.....just count yourself lucky and blessed if you've never experienced either situation!

While I am with you I also know that some dads need only be accused of something to lose custody of their child... Even for all the public posting on the website and what not, it seems extreme, but at the same time I figure someone have to go that far in some cases, as any less ridiculous reporting could lead to a 3rd party stating how the mother is better and giving them the kid. When it boils down to it, he would just need to be accused of something like harming the kid, and so long as enough people believe it, he will be arrested and possibly charged; even if he was found innocent of whatever accusation, he would still have that follow him for years or the rest of his life. Think society is shifting though, and about now the same could be said about the mother.
@victorcates93305 ай бұрын
If you've seen custody disputes, it's often trying to use social means to bolster you reputation and paint the other party as unreliable. In courts, you might well have character witnesses. At the end of the day, the only defense you have may be a respected figure saying they think you're a decent human being. And in a court, there are instances of people dressing all in white. If there's no real evidence, you're only defence is your character and appearances. So in a bitter divorce (functionally war), there's a motivation to control social perceptions.

I completely disagree with your take here. It's not a case of "airing dirty laundry in public" at all if the woman is a recidivist scammer that stole 1 million to another guy, faked cancer, owes him 21 000$, etc... It's, as he's saying, "to warn others". These kind of scammers can literally ruin the life of other people, they are a danger, it's not just some private matter. Yeah, you could say the guy is "obsessed" over her and should move on, "it's the mother of his kids" etc... but at the same time, we can't really blame someone for making sure a scammer/criminal that caused him problems is made accountable for her crimes while she's back to inventing stuff online. At the end of the day, if he's right, defending her or saying they should discuss this privately imply you defend a serial scammer's image and want to let her have the anonymity she needs to scam other people. It doesn't make any sense. Now, at this point, it's probably going too far with the back and forth, and there's some shady things about him as well (nobody's perfect), and you do admit you don't know who's right... But you're still according a lot of credibility to the woman in a sort of "believe all women" reflex when a judge literally gave him full custody (sorry what? Custody to a man in 2024???) and, apparently, she's saying that everyone she knows are on his side... I mean, the whole story sure is a mess... But she's still far less credible than him. And in either case, you say they should resolve this privately which, as mentioned before, can only make sense in her perspective, not his. If she's right, he's an obsessed jerk, if he is right, she's a serial scammer and he's justified in his campaign to call her out. It can't really be both. As for scientology, as much as I hate this cult, it's pretty malicious to mention a person's faith to attack his credibility (unless you're into some kind of theological debate...). I fail to see the relevance here.

I'm not understanding the comparison. Do you just miss your childhood or are you mourning the childhoods of your OWN children? Because you don't have to give your own kids social media... your comment confuses me.

Like i said the first time when I saw this story.. at the end of the day the conclusion is - people like that should not be parents. Too focused on themselves, anger towards each other, sense of needing to fight or spite each other. a responsible adult with children under their care should always focus ALL of their attention on what's best for the child(ren) even if goes against your own precious feelings or pride. I can only feel sorry for the kids as both of those people are unfit to parent.

That’s why I still just think social media is bad for humans really. #1: you put your fake self and fake reactions/emotions on a post to portray a fake image of your life.. #2: you get paid and famous for your fakeness. You get paid for something that does no tangible good for the world.. you add to nothing here…. You eat up resources and play “house” online sitting inside all day while the world supports you. You’re a net negative and worse than welfare queens. Ever since everyone and their mom has tried to be social media famous.. it has only made the culture,craziness,fakeness of it worse so they can try and stick out.

Dude they all say this. I was there when my mom fought tooth and nail for stock in my dad’s business. She wouldn’t sign the divorce papers unless she got stock-she didn’t want the monetary value. Flash forward 2 years and she claimed in court the stock had no value and she wanted the cash-and she claimed she was duped and signed things under duress! Meanwhile the windfall agreement that was impacting how much the stock could be valued at when my parents split had expired. So she got like double what she would have gotten if she had taken the money initially. Point is-it basically ruined our family financially. She got her payday and skipped off and couldn’t understand why her kids weren’t happy about it. But I was there. I know what was said (screamed) she DEMANDED stock-and then later claimed “she had no resources and signed it under duress” I tend to not believe those stories. Women I have known who’ve walked through that kind of fire rarely speak about it and you usually only find out details as they slip out over many decades-and usually by others. Women crying about their mistreatment to try to win over the court of public opinion are generally lying.

We, one at a time, had to tell a Judge who we wanted to live with. 3 of us chose our mother and 3 our father. It was a messy divorce to be honest, especially when you are 10 and had to decide which parent you wanted to live with. That decision, basically telling one of your parents you love less than the one you chose to live with. Now, since I have that kind of background, I feel it allows me to say this. Both people involved in this story are terrible parents, neither of them deserve full custody, if any. But if both lose custody, what do you do? Relatives who might get custody? This is a tough one.

I doubt divorces nowadays compared to 60 YEARS AGO!!!!!! (When there was no money involved to influence everything about divorces) were the same. Heck and I know that too be true because my dad as an 80's kid went through divorced parents and there was no money involved, *THE KIDS CHOSE WHO TO BE WITH*. Nowadays as Ive been through it, was awful and there was no choice, my mom like 90% of this era's divorces favors woman whether its good or not, and the woman get to take all the divorced husbands money for "support" while possibly remarried/in a relationship to someone else. The Father is showing receipts, giving proof and is fine in this situation, and also is one of the luckiest men this day and age. My dad, brother and I only couldve wished for a situation like this (or at least a more fair predicament) so that my brother could stay with our dad cause he was not treated right and got into lots of arguements with my mom even before, but nope she got all the control and favored by courts even with lots of police calls.
