We're following your lead evidently during our lifestyle visit as we've rarely stopped and have covered a zillion miles in the golf cart. It's a beautiful community and yes, it is Disney World for adults. We're loving living in Florida and don't regret out move from KY at all and are now deciding on staying south or giving this area a try. From your Louisville, KY, now Ft. Myers neighbors, The Princess and I wish you both a wonderful and Blessed Easter. BTW there was a long list of applicants for The Princess’s position as well but she was well ahead of all the rest. 😀

When my husband and I were there a few weekends ago and on our golf cart ride we discovered people tailgate even in golf carts! We were going as fast as our little rental could go but people tailgated us and even passed us! 🛺🛺🛺

LOVE YOU GUYS !! Have you tried the beautiful area that is a little further north from the Tunnel of Trees ? When you come out of the tunnel of trees you are right by the Polo Fields (which are pretty too). And if you keep going a little bit further north towards Savannah Center , across the street is the Glenview Country Club and Golf Course that are really gorgeous. To get to the restaurant and golf course starter shack, there is road featuring a row of "mature tree canopies with spanish moss hanging down" that hang over the road along the long driveway leading you there. Additionally, there is a beautiful duck pond there with cascading waterfall. You can pull your golf cart onto the grass right up to the pond and sit in benches there or your golf cart. Regular cars cannot access that area by the pond - only golf carts . Enjoy !

@@JERRYANDLINDA Jerry and Linda RIGHT NEXT to the place where you did your sign off after exiting the tunnel of trees are the Polo Fields (it would be great if there was a polo match going on when you are there and it is a short pretty drive up to the stadium/spectator area) THEN about one mile down from the Polo Fields and the tunnel of trees is that really gorgeous area. *** To get there if you are in your golf cart, there is a golf cart tunnel across the parking lot from the Polo Fields and the tunnel of trees ..... in front of the Saddlebrook Rec Center. After you go under the road and through the tunnel, in your golf cart you drive about one mile down, past 2 Villages entrances, until you get to drive up to the duck pond where you can enjoy the waterfall, feed the fish, the ducks, the egrets and cranes, etc. and I think that you can still drive over the little bridge over the pond. That pond is across the street from the huge, picturesque Savannah Rec Center, copied from the "Gone with the Wind" movie. That Rec center is so gorgeous inside and has many performances given there. ***** To enjoy the "tree canopies"and spanish moss hanging from the trees, right by the duck pond, is that long road/driveway leading to a really nice Glenview Country Club restaurant that looks over the Glenview Golf Course would probably be better done in a car ..... because that "driveway road" is meant more for cars than golf carts. **** I drive into that area, as much as possible, since I live down the road from there, in The Villages, that is close to the Nancy Lopez restaurant and her 2 golf courses that she designed and named after her two daughters !! I would love to see you two exploring and enjoying that area in one of your future videos. ! You do such a good job in your videos so that would be fun to see you do that !

My wife questioned me why I don’t put my arm around her in the GC. I told her it won’t stretch that way anymore. 😂. There are times I cross the road if a car motions me through but if I see that there is a line of cars behind that car I decline and let that traffic through. We took a GC ride from our house up here in SS to the south to see the new Bexley Trail bridge by Sawgrass going over the turnpike then we back tracked to the Water Lilly Bridge down to Meggison Rd. to see the new construction. We do this a couple of times a year.

We just finished our week long “lifestyle visit”, got home (to Illinois) yesterday, and I have to reinforce your comment about the FRIENDLY people in the Villages. As I mentioned, yes we bought a house this week (in Newell), and you are absolutely correct. Most everyone we met is happy & friendly in the Villages; not just the Villagers, but nearly every employee we encountered (at restaurants, bars, shops, golf courses). We met so many nice people just walking around, or at the square in the evening listening to music. But I wanted to tell you about one meeting in particular. The last day we were there, we played Marsh View “pitch & putt” and since we were down there, we thought we’d swing by and see our new home one last time before heading home … and we already met our new neighbor across the street.😳 Debbie is from Michigan (her husband, Brian, was playing golf). She just walked over and introduced herself. Already volunteered to watch over our place. Nice folks. The Villages, America’s Friendliest Hometown

I played all sport’s baseball was my favorite played 31 years until my knee injuries just could do it anymore, 4 injuries to the left knee 3 to the right. Golf is now the only sport I can play. Accurate and detailed Information on the homes in The Villages can be found sooooooo many places- the APP, the website, phone call or appointment with an agent. One has to willfully blind oneself to not know about the homes here. If a person is unhappy because they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a home based on watching a couple of videos from an influencer on KZbin instead of doing their own due diligence and asking a real estate agent- they only have themselves to blame. It does make me wonder though- how did someone not smart enough to due their own due diligences, be smart enough to afford a home here???

This totally made my day~ We have had week upon week (I think it has been months now, no kidding) of rain and grey with very little let up here in Western Oregon. Seeing the sunshine and blue sky, along with the DRY GROUND was awesome. Glad someone isn't having to wear rain gear and is in shirt sleeves. AND love Mailbag Monday.
