Came for the ratchet straps, stayed for the banter 👍

Lol....why wrap excess strap around lumber....fan stack extra strap length and tuck fan stack under tensioner line. then final ratchet tight to secure. Wont blow loose or wind fray.... plus it's easier and quicker to remove....momma was a O.T.R TRUCK DRIVER! Thank you for your SERVICE.....God bless AMERICA!

Smart guy! Finally someone on you tube who shows the basics, the stuff everyone assumes I know and I don’t. Cuz I’ve never done it before in my life . Like which way the strap goes in and where exactly ? ?😜🤣, 🙏thank you

Learned that the hard way after a summer of hauling stuff to the dump. The real trick is how to store them after you take them off so they don't get all tangled...

Yea if you tell me how then we'll both know lmao that one is tough

The best method I’ve found recently is to hook them to the tie down rings that are built in the truck bed. My Chevy has a bunch. So I run them from front to back and only tighten them enough to hold them in place. I’ll have three on each side ready to rock and it even provides somewhat a “net” to hold things like light rakes or a few 2xs without having to even adjust them.

If you close the ratchet you don't have to put the strap back through. It will already be behind the handle to tension it. I just learned that last year on youtube from Sweedish Homesteading.

That’s how it’s done son, lol! Thanks for sharing

You should let the strap wind around the drum enough for it to bite on itself before ratcheting it tight. Don't pull ALL of the slack before you start ratcheting.

You shouldn't run your strap over the top bar of your metal brake like I see in this video. Run that strap under the locking bar.
