@KamJ2010 Жыл бұрын
I went through this in my early 20's. For a decade the baby mom put daddy status on me and it ripped my family apart against me. Not only my family but everyone who knew me (and her) in Chicago. Some called me a not good man for standing on wanting a test before engagiing. Others said I was a dead beat for not supporting on her word. It sucked. 10 years later, through a serious of comical events, a DNA test was ordered by the court where I was proven not to be the father....although the child had my name (a name I picked out for him). When all was said and done....no one apopligiezed to me for not believing me, except my grandfather. Hell I invited the boy into my home to spend time with my othwer kids (I had gotten married and started a family). Baby mom got mad anf forbad me from interacting with him. Now...him and I don't have a relationship and he has a half fuzzy memory that he is part of my family and that, for some fucking reason, I am someone to hate. It's all toxic. Get a DNA test immediately! Trust me. End of rant.

I agree with you'll. The only women who have or has ever had an issue giving a guy a paternity test is one who isn't sure. @carolbucks6991 Жыл бұрын
@@brittanysaid It was his persistence to find his father. From all indications he believed that the other Mike was his dad. In actuality she didn't know. We as young people never stop to think of the serious consequences beforehand, it's about that moment. I wasn't always grown, and I speak from experiences. My oldest son turned 57 y/o today, and nearly 20 yrs. ago he was told who his father was. I knew all the time, but I raised him by myself and the grace of God,and he had a good life. But he started asking, and I had to do what I needed to do. We both were young, and one time together resulted in my son. I moved away from the city, and provided for my son, but it remained on my mind all those years. My son ended up getting married and had two sons of his own,that's when the questions started. So I started doing my paperwork and found where he was. I made contact with him, and his response wasn't what I thought it would be. So I sent a picture of my son to his wife, and she was very receptive. My son spoke with him on the phone, and he referred to him as Pop...which broke my heart. They both lived many states apart but my son never mentioned of they meeting each other. Many years passed and my daughter sent me an obituary where he had died. I sent a response to my son and he never mentioned anything after that. That's why I mentioned that the decisions as young people make results in the pain that children endure. I wanted to keep my son from being hurt if I reached out,and this guy didn't respond to him. His obituary didn't mention my son and my son is his oldest child.. My son's baby boy was killed in a daycare, a tragedy we both have never gotten over...this was 2000, he had just turned 3 y/o. But God is a healer of pain and void, because he's carried me through all of these years. They young man on Karamo's show is going to be alright, time and space heals all brokenness, and God is forever good,and my prayers are for him and his family. The best thing for Syrrome that this guy turned out to "NOT" be his dad, and you know what ...my son had to know his dad, so that he could put closure to that chapter of his life!!

I feel so bad for him. You can tell he’s had a hole in his heart for a long time and I think he thought it was finally filled. But, since he has kids: he can now be the father he always wished he had. And, in that way, he closes the circle. I also understand where the sister and the father were coming from, also. They didn’t know him and needed time to process things and even be sure, but he’s already saying he loves them, and calling the man “pops”. Love and relationships take time, and just because you’re related to someone, doesn’t mean you’ll have either. His intensity came from his desire to fill that void, but it was definitely off-putting, and I understand and think most of us would respond the same way to somebody appearing out of nowhere, saying they love us and calling us their parents. I think they did the best they could to handle it while also being honest about their feelings. I feel for all of them. I hope he’s able to create the love he clearly desperately needs, and I think he can if he realizes that it starts by loving himself totally and then being love to others: he’ll get all that love right back once he does that. He’s got enough love in him that he can create his space of love.

His mother did this to him. She is completely responsible for the entire sequence of events. And it's sounds like this is not the first time that she wreaked havoc into that man's life, to the point of threatening to name a child after him that was even his. When my brother found us, he had been looking for his father for 42 years. Sadly, he had ours (our dad is a shit human), but he was so excited to find out he had a bunch of sisters, he was VERY forward and excited. 😂 I kept saying, "he's very keen." It was a lot to take in at first, but he's been in our loves for 3+ years now and we're more comfortable and getting that bond we should have always had. I'm not surprised that Syrome acted that when he thought he had found his family. I wish him all the best in healing.
