@Laotzsa2 жыл бұрын
I’m so stuck between reach out to convey my love is true and don’t reach out cuz I’ll come off as needy. My girlfriend of 2.5 years just broke up with me because she essentially felt the same way. She said I hadn’t been affectionate or loving for some time. She had said things like you never cuddle me or tend to me like I do you when your sick. She honestly does nurture so well. She is a goddess. But what she’s thinking is not the case, and if only the loving universe would open up a space for just long enough for me to show her otherwise. I do agree, I was lacking for probably the last 6 months. I got complacent and comfy. But comfy like an 80 year old couple. Honestly tho in the beginning I was wary and careful, not wanting to hurt another soul, nor hers or thy own. And I wasn’t too quick to jump the gun of i am content with this human. But I had a strong hunch. Sincerely though, every week that goes by I have been thinking more and more that this is indeed the one I’m willing to share my soul with for eons to come. Which is ironic that I became slowly less and less spontaneous, romantic, and affectionate as time had aged us. 6 months ago, about the same time that I could feel us lacking something, I didn’t realize it but in hind sight that’s what it was. Anyways this 6 months ago was the same time I picked up a night shift from 6 pm - 6:30 AM. My girlfriend works 7:15 AM - 6:15 pm. So our schedules literally became opposite. I went from working for myself and spending all this time with her to pretty much 1 day a week. And maybe some hours. I mean think about it tho, I go Into work 15 min before she gets off. So when can we talk, on those days, thur, fri, and sat. we live separately by the way, anyways we’re both off Sunday but I get off Sunday morning at 6:30 AM from my sat night shift and go home to go to bed. I just got off a 12 hour shift and am exhausted and just want to zonk. So I sleep till 5 in the afternoon, wake up and get ready and am to her house around 6ish. She falls asleep early around 10 so we only have a few hours. We also had Mondays together but she deff passes out by 10 on work nights, which is totally cool, that’s not the thing, what happens is both Sunday and Monday I’m still on night mode schedule so I stay up watching tv on my phone till 4 AM. I don’t watch the tv cuz it’s loud and bright so I use my phone with subtitles so she can sleep. But she likes to cuddle, and I can’t really get up in bear hug hibernation mode while I’m wide awake for 6 more hours. Unless maybe I practice hardcore meditation. The body can only sleep so much. I guess I could sleep deprived myself after work sat night so we could have all of Sunday together and then sleep and cuddle together. But that’s not healthy. So anyways she gets upset that I keep her up at night which I don’t mean to do. But apparently she doesn’t sleep as well when I’m awake on the bed watching the flix on my phone. That does make sense. I feel kinda bad. Anyways, then I’m off Tuesday and Wednesday which I would use to work on jewelry. In hindsight I should have devoted one of those nights to cooking her dinner after she got off work. We broke up last Sat. about a month ago she wasn’t feeling well and asked for me to come to her and help. I ducked up and gave attitude and said I’m working on something ): this tears my heart now thinking how I could even say that when my significant other was in distress. I ended up going but then I left to come back to the shop and finish what I was working on. This is when it went the relationship went from okay but distanced from off balance schedules and lack of communicating to essentially her starting to think I have no love for her and so why should she be with me when another would treat her like a true girlfriend. This is my opinion and perspective not her words keep in mind. Anyways then the last couple weeks went by with probably the least communication and for a month we have had these tickets that her boss gave her for a beer festival. I took the sat off to go with and was so excited. But got home from work sat morning at 6:30 AM(my fri night shift). And could not get to sleep! So 9 AM rolls around and I’m thinking how TF can I wake up in 1 hour and go to this beer fest. In hindsight shoulda taken Friday off and slept at a normal person time. But I told her I didn’t think it would be the best idea for me to go to a beer fest with 2 hours of sleep. I bailed hours before we were supposed to leave ): not because I didn’t want to go but because of work. She got home from this event with her friend and essentially dropped the bomb on me, asking why I’ve given no affection, I was stone cold, couldn’t come up with a reason. Just so distraught feeling and like an idiot. But it’s not like what she was thinking! If I could think at the time I would have said ALL of this! To sum everything up, I feel that a lack of communication and genuine time together from opposite schedules led to distance which led to doubts. It’s hard to be intimate and affectionate when you don’t even communicate and are essentially living in 2 diff time zones. Then to add to that I was seriously deep in my mind the last 6 months figuring out what I wanted to do. Obviously the night shift was a crutch until I took my next step, I got a new job as a jeweler. It’s what I enjoy making so i wouldn’t mind punching in for that. All while still building my own business. My last day on night shifts was literally the day before our split. I started my new job Monday. 8 am -7pm 4 days a week. And we have sat and sundays off both and also would be sleeping at the same time. I could wake up and send a good morning text. Cuddle her to sleep, the little things that she missed so much that I wasn’t delivering. Then when she was dropping the bomb I tried explaining the schedule thing and how we literally had no time together like we use to. but in like 10 words. And couldn’t articulate shit. And said that o was doing it so that we could be on the same schedule. She said I shouldn’t be doing things for her but because I want to and for me. But that’s not what I meant, im doing it for me first and foremost, that’s why I picked jewelry. But I am also doing it for us yes. For our happiness. And so that I could actually spend this life on the same frequency as my hopeful wife, and again, I picked something I was passionate about. And something that was stable, that could raise a family. Because for 5 years I’ve been trying to be my own boss and start my own business’ but that’s risky, and if it doesn’t work out and I don’t have support in the bank down the road what the hell am I. Maybe she saw that daredevil go getter boss @$$ attitude fade into secure, predictable, safe attitude and that was a turnoff. Just a thought. Maybe I’m wrong it really was just my lack of initiation, hand holding, cuddling, and affection that drove her so far away. She use to call every night, and even though sometimes I’d be busy wanting to get back to making whatever stupid thing was distracting me, I love her presence so much. And I miss those 2 hour phone calls till one of us falls asleep so much. I wish it wouldn’t have taken so much distance between us for me to realize. That saying of you don’t know what you have until it’s gone hits so deep. I have been in my mind since this night shift gig trying to make big moves now to set up for security and a family; which was distracting me from the the love right in front of me. I wasn’t cheating, wasn’t talking to anyone else, which is cheating, I just wasn’t there emotionally or physically for long enough for her to doubt my love. I wish I could convey all this somehow. God I’ll never get complacent again. No matter the matter

@gameroftheyear1000 Жыл бұрын
@@janusgreenway6934 there in lies the point. When everybody focuses on themselves and can truly be themselves, things happen more naturally, your interactions with people become more fluid and that’s when you start to connect with others more organically. This will in turn, build actual relationships and you can get to know the actual person, not a caricature of them. I also have noticed the best relationships are the ones that go slow and people are actual friends before moving into relationship territory.

When I thought she wanted us back together I tried to make a move only for her to move back and shzz. Then we started arguing a lot cause the mixed signals thing I wanted a second chance she didn’t we kept arguing and we kept not respect each others space. It just got to the point where I blocked her then unblocked her only for her to block me and then unblock me and her deleting me on everything but only for her to add me back on snap only. Until then, let's enjoy this blessing called life. God sent us on this Earth with a purpose bigger than pleasing a few individuals. Preetha Bose a wonderful guy who has been living with me since Oct - took me out for a beautiful dinner tonight for Valentine’s Day. Then proceeded to tell me that he will never love me - that he only likes me as a friend - he was silent at during the dinner date tonight and took me home after at 8 pm - then left immediately to go to his favourite (very skid/gross and boring) neighbourhood bar until 2 am. He told me when he returned that he would never love me more than a friend. I put (as we women do) so much work into looking my best and beautiful for our date out tonight. I can’t express how sad and terrible all of this tonight made me feel. Why ? Take me out for dinner /cocktails. He paid the very high bill (as he always does when he takes me out for dinner.) he doesn’t have regrets or resent paying. I’m so confused and hurt. I’ve been crying all night and can’t sleep. My wife recently cheated on me, it made me realise I should have been a better husband and I love her more than I thought. Im now stuck in this chasing / not chasing limbo. Time feels like its standing still trying to battling with my emotions. I wish you all the love in the world if you are struggling with love.

Meet a lot of diverse people, have fun(because life is shorter than you think)....and give back. So many people put their crushes, other attractive people, and celebrities on a pedstal. Meanwhile, many people who live in poverty are ignored....as if they don't exist. I've seen it a lot in Chicago, and it's truly sad.

When you chase something or someone, you put yourself in a state of chasing. That’s why you never “get” it. If you place yourself in a state of “having”, you will “have” it. 🙏

When you started to think' i need this person to chase me', you're already in a wrong place. Not him/her chasing you, not you chasing him/her. Love is love,and it's all about equal efforts. If you love someone,the more they give efforts in you,the more you wants to give back. Remember if you think you'll never find someone like him/her,yes you're right coz you're going to find a better person. 💪 I promise.

The key really is to live and accept yourself. Some of us never find a romantic relationship and that's ok, too.
