Celibacy is mentioned several times. It can be practiced for a set period of time to grow spiritually or to gift during a time of prayer and meditation. It is a vow. Like taking a vow of silence usually lasts a year. Abstaining for virtuous reasons is keeping one for marriage and yes the Bible does ask virtuous women tosave themselves for their husbands.
