Love all the videos, I have been lifting for 20 years all styles and now at 50, I have decided to change a lot of what I have probably been doing incorrectly. I love working on my core and obliques for the last two years solid but it stopped improving. My diet is solid that's always first. So six weeks ago I came across your channel and changed everything and it's been great. I try and use all your techniques in my home and limited gym. High rep counts, slower controlled reps, and much much lighter weight. I am finally getting sore again when I work out so I know things are different and working. I do have a medical issue that keeps me from reaching what I call perfect, which sucks because of the amount of time and energy and focus I put in to be the best, I seem to never be able to reach. However, I feel comfortable with my shirt off at the beach or anytime and there were years where that was never going to happen. Thanks for the channel, videos, and suggestions.

You may be just another casual lifting bro like I am, but i've been living without highspeed internet for almost 2 months now and i've used all my highspeed up for porn. After that I've realized that Jeff and the people standing behind athleanx.com do so much work in front of the camera, aswell behind it, like editing (and most of all the video description). It's crazy. Jeff, you have become the Number 1. Lifestyle Channel on youtube for me and I wish you all the best from germany 💪

10 bodyweight squats, with each squat taking 3 seconds on the way down and 1 more second up, then on the 10th squat, hold the bottom squat position for 10 seconds... Then do lunges, Bulgarian split squats, and finally the slick floor bridge curl... Enjoy!
@justarandomguy4827 жыл бұрын
You can try tabata pistol squats(assisted or not assisted). Tabatas take even less time (only 4 min).
@skyguy8713 жыл бұрын
Now that you mention it, I did get much better results when I did one arm at a time, rather than alternating every rep.

Hey Jeff I've always done curls with my arms pointing straight at my sides curling up into my chest, I noticed you have them angled outwards and curl in does that make a difference?
@guamart_27927 жыл бұрын
Over The Spectrum still looking for an answer, and glad you asked the question. I'm commenting for future reference
@theozlander46297 жыл бұрын
Hector C so you do curls the same way I do then?
@guamart_27927 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's the way I always thought they should be done. My guess is that because it puts your arm at an angle in which it makes your pinky come up like a bit of twist motion and somehow hits the bicep better? I remember from somewhere that the pinky up motion is what helped Arnold get sick biceps (he said it himself) buuuuuuut I would like some confirmation from anyone who reads this question haha
@YourUpstairsNeighbor7 жыл бұрын
In my opinion it allows for a better range of motion, and the supenation that Hector C mentioned
@SuperSoldiers7 жыл бұрын
true true. Jeff does curls the same way when he is lying on an inclined Bench- So I am guessing it is a better way. Still A video explaining it further Vs. other curling methods like Over the Spectrum mentioned would be interesting!

Guys I'm curious,what's your workout routine from Monday to Friday cause idk what body parts to target on certain days and I need ideas
@grim12947 жыл бұрын
Monday chest and triceps Tuesday back and bicep Wednesday shoulders and traps Thursday legs Friday chest and triceps Saturday's back and biceps Sunday shoulders and traps

raul trinidad I do chest/shoulders/triceps one day, back and biceps another day and legs on the last day. I do each muscle group 1-2 times a week so that I'm working out 3-6 times a week. This is a really common way to divide the muscle groups. The number of times you workout per week and the length/intensity of each workout is up to you

Always subject to change, but currently: Day 1 Shoulders, Traps, Legs (only legpress, heavy weight, short breaks, until total failure), Some chest (4-5 Sets of Pin Press or Fly on machine) because i want to go up on my benchpress (it's working) Day 2 Pull Ups and Chin Ups using various grip width in the afternoon at home setup, 12-16 sets in about 25 minutes. In the night short visit to gym to finish off biceps, calves Day 3 Chest, Dead Lifts, Triceps, 1 Set standing shoulder front press with light weight to burn (20-30 concentrated reps) Day 4 Break Generally i pause 45-60 seconds between sets, sometimes very short breaks and dropset. always trying to do different moves, cycles, breaks between sets. Full training usually arround 45 minutes, max 60 minutes
@CodepageNet7 жыл бұрын
@Brayan Saikat agreed - push, pull, legs, i like that one too. that way each muscle group gets required rest
@YourUpstairsNeighbor7 жыл бұрын
1st day: upper body push muscles (triceps, chest, shoulders) + abs 2nd: upper body pull muscles (biceps, traps, back, forearms) 3rd: legs + abs

i have a massive wrist pain while doing dumbell curls lately. Does someone have tips for me? Thanks!
@ajschannel71075 жыл бұрын
It can be many reasons why, here are some of them: 1. those dumbells may be too heavy so start doing light weights first 2. you are putting too much weight on your wrist as you lift, you are not lifting properly 3. you are lifting properly but doing too much work, or lifting way too many times, you need to rest and stop lifting until the pain goes away
@LionKing-gl4wq5 жыл бұрын
Even if you don’t know the cause of the pain you can make adjustments, try doing hammer curls to take some of the pressure off your wrists (this activated the forearm more but still works the biceps enough) and or get gloves that wrap around your wrists see if that helps as well. Also don’t squeeze the dumbbells when you curl and try to keep your hand to elbow straight when you curl and not bend the wrist at all. Practice the motions without weight first and look at your wrists while you do it to see the difference in form. I’ve had wrist surgery and these adjustments help me tremendously.

Thanks guys! Oh and idk if this matters anything but it's only my left wrist that is hurting
