Consider using digestive enzymes after you break our fast to make it easier for your body to break down your fast-breaking meal. A study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition confirmed that oral proteolytic enzymes significantly improve the absorption of protein.
Eat slowly. In a study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, they showed that chewing your food more thoroughly significantly aids digestion and results in better absorption of nutrients.
Break your fast with protein to restore the activity of your mitochondrial complexes
Coenzyme Q10 is an electron acceptor in the electron transport chain. In a study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, it was reported that Coenzyme Q10 increases the activity of mitochondrial complexes I and II.
Supplement with Coenzyme Q10 to quickly restore the optimal function of your mitochondria
Use vitamins B when breaking your fast. Vitamin B1 and B6 are necessary for the synthesis of enzymes needed for the metabolism of protein and it will help your gastrointestinal tract to process your food quicker. Vitamin B3 will help you to produce more electron carriers which are essential for the production of ATP. Vitamin Bs have very good potential to help you fight the fatigue connected with breaking a fast.
Add turmeric to the meal you break the fast with to fight the spike in inflammation
Drink green tea before and after fast to fight the inflammation caused by the spike of NLRP3. You will also improve the integrity of the intestinal barrier and prevent inflammation caused by foreign particles like LPS.
Use pepper for your fast-breaking meal as it contains piperine. In a study published in Planta Medica, it increases the bioavailability of turmeric by 2000%. In a study published in The Journal of Nutrition, it also increased the bioavailability of EGCG.
Supplement with phosphorus when breaking a fast or include food high in phosphorus like chicken or turkey
Use magnesium supp for optimal function of mitochondrial enzymes
Supplement with lipoic acid to boost your mitochondria
Involve propolis in your fast-breaking regime to reduce inflammation, increase mineral intake and metabolism and mitochondrial activity
Propolis or bee glue is a bee product which is used to seal the hive and protect it from bacteria.
In a study published in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, propolis was reported to inhibit the NLRP3
Furthermore, as stated in a study published in Oxidative medicine and cellular longevity, propolis also contains previously mentioned vitamins B1 and B6 and magnesium and many others nutrients involving vitamin C, E, calcium, potassium, sodium, zinc, manganese

HOW TO BE SAVED (How to KNOW you are saved and not just hope you are) THE BAD NEWS All men have sinned and are in need of a Savior (Rom 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" ; Rev 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. No man can come to God by his own good works and righteousness. (Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;" THE GOOD NEWS 1 Timothy 1:15 tells us "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." How does Jesus save a sinner? From the beginning of the bible to the end, God has only forgiven sins through a BLOOD SACRIFICE, because he is a Holy God he can't forgive sins any other way, Heb 9:22 tells us, "...without shedding of blood is no remission." when Adam sinned, God had to kill a lamb in Adam's place as a substitue, In the Law of Moses, a Blood Sacrifice was demanded for the forgiviness of sins. Jesus came to die for the sins of the whole world, he came to be OUR Blood Sacrifice, OUR substittue, he came to bear OUR sins on the cross, in OUR place. John 1:29 "...Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." What must you do to be saved? YOU MUST REPENT; You must change from unbelief to belief. admit you are guilty, that you cannot do anything to save or help save yourself, and that you need Jesus Christ as your savior. Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done. but according to his mercy he saved us," Romans 3:28 "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Romans 4:5 "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." YOU MUST TRUST; placing your complete faith in what Jesus Christ already did to save you; John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:." Salvation comes by believing in WHAT Jesus did for you, 1 Cor. 15:1-4 tells us "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, HOW that Christ died for OUR SINS according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" All you have to do to be saved, and on your way to heaven is place your TRUST in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ and nothing else, as sufficient for your salvation, (Rom 3:25 "Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;") (Propitiation means the act of appeasing wrath, Jesus took your place on the cross.) Will you accept Jesus Christ as your savior by simple faith, simply trusting in his shed Blood for sufficient to save your soul from hell? The last sentence is all you must do to be saved, and that is FAITH, not works, TRUSTING in what someone else did for you is the only thing that is not a work. Please watch Robert Breaker's video titled "HOW TO GET SAVED" If you have received Jesus Christ, by faith in his Blood, you now have eternal life and on your way to heaven! I John 5:11 "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." John 10:27-28 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." If you got saved because of this message please let me know! You can copy and send this message to others!

Careful with bee pollen timing, if taken too late in the day it can cause insomnia, due to being very energizing. I found a bee pollen I liked the taste of and was eating it as a snack in the evening, and started having inexplicable insomnia every night, until I figured out it was the pollen causing it. Since then, I only have it up until mid-afternoon, not later (similar to caffeine).

I have noticed long time ago that black pepper if in enough quantity acts like a stimulant in lieu of coffee. Because if you want to have a high-energy cocktail when you're starting work a hard boiled egg propolis bee pollen or royal jelly and one cup of coffee. That combination will keep you wired for like 5 hours. I used to work at security graveyard shift, so I know.

Love your work, sir! I also have a suggestion/request for some future content.. Behaviorally speaking, lots of older cultures/religions have specific fasting protocols. Some are maybe more liquid fasts than real fasts if they add animal fat say to tea, some would have specific foods for breaking fasts, others requirements for fasting periods. Others might drink a tiny bit of honey and/or olive oil if they aren’t eating but still need to maintain physical activity. My thought would be, perhaps do some research into historical methods and then, one-by-one, make sense of them with modern science. Why were they doing that? The pros, the cons. Often the old stuff is behaviorally sound & sometimes superior as it comes from generations of experience, but the science is needed to go through it. You are in a unique position to help us make some sense of this.

Dear Thomas, I have been watching your videos for months from Hungary. I wanted to thank you very much for all the information you have been sharing, it opened my eyes. I have already lost 12kgs in 3 months thanks to your videos. One question: as I know, more than 60% of the adult population has bile stones and I was suffering from this as well, and finally my bile cyst was removed. My doctors prescribed low fat diet, so I am a bit concerned about starting a keto diet. I am wondering whether how the IF combined with keto could affect my health? Could you please make a video about the how a person with bile stones or removed lie cyst could go on keto and what effects it would have? Or if this is not possible, could you please let me know where can I find information about this topic? Thank you very much.

He sometimes recommends supplements but usually tells viewers to try and stick to natural foods to get your vitamins and minerals in. You would only really supplement something that you were not getting enough of through your diet. You should not be going out and buying every supplement he mentions. For example glutathione he talks about in his videos ut you can get that from food. So try and up your healthy food first and then if you have find weak areas like lack of energy then see what you ca do to target.

If you have any interest in improving the overall audio quality and volume of your videos this is something I can help with. Just let me know! Thanks again for the awesome content. I'm really curious about what you think about Anthony William's detox protocol - it's not exactly a fast, more like a liver detox. He says that it's important to protect the adrenals and liver by not depriving them of nutrients they need throughout the detox, which prevents an energy low post-detox. I'm doing a second round now as it's worked as he has said and is improving my cognition, mood and energy. Ps. Your videos are great but the consecutive ads are pretty annoying...

Thomas, when is the best time to take my vitamin B complex relative to my fast? I always break my fast with bone broth, so would this be an ideal moment to do so?
@TerryGene1957

If I recall correctly things like B vitamins should be taken with food. As well as mineral supplements . Cuz if you take minerals without anything solid in your stomach. You may well throw up.

Once I broke a 48 hours fasting with pasta. My heart started to pump in my throat. I learned the lesson. Then last month I broke a 57 hours fasting with proteins (eggs and chicken), much better I just recommend eating little, cause this time with proteins I ended up eating 400g and was also not nice... learned the lesson again..

@@lotto5742 I felt awful. I believe my body broke the food too fast and sent me tons of energie at once. This gave me rapid heartbeats and anxiety. Thats why I believe the fast shoud be broken slowly during the next day with small portions of food. Next time I am going to plan the day with what I am going to eat and what time I will do it.

I find ginger & basil help. I break fast after an intermitrent fast with a small cup of chicken bonebroth, with ginger, basil, turmeric, black pepper, salt, a spoon of beef collagen powder, a thin slice of lemon & a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Basil & ginger borh help wirh nausea, & ginger & turmeric are antiinflammatory. About an hour later I have a proper meal & am fine.

Thomas , are you familiar with Narcolepsy and Hypocretin? About over a month ago, I started drinking Peet’s coffee in Pods, I love coffee, but now I find myself extremely sleepy, to where my eyes want to shut, I continue to stay busy physically during the day, but it’s like I am sleeping walking through my work and can fall asleep anytime,. I am wondering if it’s a certain chemical in the coffee. I’m 60 years old and have been drinking coffee since I was a little girl. I also keep trying to get my body back in Keto and try doing intermittent fasting everyday. I started Keto in 2019 and lost 40 pds and pretty much have kept it off, but I’m not exercising like I should and would like to lose another 12-15 pds. Thank you for your advice 😴.

Low carb + intermittent fasting for POWER LIFTING. Hi Thomas. I’m gonna try to comment this question on all your videos in hopes that you’ll see it haha... I am a 5’3” 130 lbs. 26 year old Female with very low body fat and lots of muscle. I intermittent fast every other day (because I learned from you everyday is too much). I also eat very low carb because I just function better on high healthy fats. I was keto for two years but am taking a small break. I don’t love eating carbs, because I don’t feel great, but when I do eat them I eat them mostly in the evening. The day after I eat a decent amount of carbs in the evening (ballpark 100g.) I feel soo much stronger while I’m lifting. I do power lifting with 8-10 reps for most sets of each movement/lift, and take minimal rest time. I only check my max once every couple months. Anyway, my lifts feel so much easier and i feel so much stronger the morning after I have a carbs. My question is, if I want to have maximum benefit from my diet for my lifting goals, do I need to eat 100g-ish of carbs every night if I want my workouts to stay at max output? Is low carb not a great diet for someone who power lifts regularly?

I've taken bee pollen before. Some dude originally got me taking it for supposed natural steroidal or test boosting effects.? Don't know exactly what's true there, but I believe I recalled a jump in my weights, if it was relevant? I'll get some soon! When should I consume the enzymes? Prior to, at the beginning, or at the end of my meal? Do I want to put food on top of enzymes, or enzymes on top of food, or right at mid meal? Same question for the bee pollen, prior, post, empty stomach?

Good questions. I'm always wondering when the best time is and in what manner to take my supplements as well. Different ones work better in different ways, whether vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, enzymes, etc. Often the instructions we're given are very vague and I'd like to optimize absorption since I'm spending the time and money on them.

Tom does a pretty awesome job being informative. If we're talking probiotics, I generally consume prior to meal. Some debate that a prebiotic fiber is essential. I do concur, & also try for it myself, but depending on the blend type of probiotic I do vary in consuming pre, mid, or post meal. An actual digestive enzyme with HCL, Ox-bile, papaya, pancreatin, & aspergillopepsin type ingredients, I'd just take with food mid meal.? You're right, if you're investing, you might as well do it right the first time for the time & money invested, especially since a lot of the biologically mending processes can take months at a time. Due to advanced training & supplement, or cost quality of consumptions, I periodically have reintroduce care take maintenance methods. The duration, heat generations impacts create more unwanted permeability resulting in other outstanding unwanted residual side effects. They're no childs routines. Lately I consume Jordan Rubin's Garden of Life Primal Defense blend prior to meals, & a standard Bifidobacteria post. It can be pricey, but effective. Jordan isn't partnered with GOL anymore, but I still give him credit to the blend. You can fix a lot from the inside out with proper methods, & I don't believe any of them to be of waste considering the damage I can do by self testing multiple strategies simultaneously in order to formulate optimal practical effectiveness. I'm currently taking the bee pollen post meals, & post workouts as an isolated consumption in order to optimize immune response, & deter any lethargic side effects until I feel I'm fully inoculated to the herbaceous angio-gynosperm, & insect salivas of the regions. It's suggested a fermentation potency is most potentially more effective. Hope anything helps. I just woke up, so I hope I've projected clear.?

@@KatarinaS. Best Protocol breakdown ever! I'd read it 7X if you have to, & Google Wiki breakdown any unknown terminology until you understand it. THE ARTICLE: Nutritional Protocol for the Treatment of Intestinal Permeability Defects and Related Conditions | Natural Medicine Journal By Corey Resnick, ND . A sports medicine causation correlation I've recently developed. . . Anti-inflammatory . Internal/External . v|^ v|^ v|^ ICEBATH (work) NSAID . v|^ v|^ v|^ . IP of Intestinal Mucosa . Regeneration . Inflammation types, External, internal muscular, to organ epithelial. The arrows rotate side to side, & up & down. NSAID reduces musculature inflammation, but can cause digestive discomfort in especially conjunction with (work). Icebath cryogenic type recovery reduces inflammation both musculoskeletal, & internal organ musculature. (Work) symbolizes athletic or occupational generations of internal heat. IP = (Intestinal Permeability). One rotation can compliment or cure the cause of another. It'll work nicely with the above protocol as well. Just the type of person I am. Hope you enjoy. God bless.

Hi, Thomas! I’ve got a question related to this. Is it ok to do WATER FASTING, for example, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, but eat from Friday to Monday? So it makes 4 days of eating and 3 days of fasting. Or is it better the other way? 4 days of fasting and 3 days of eating? I want to emphasize that I want to maintain such behavior for a long time, let’s say about 2 months. I don’t have any issues with will power, I just concerned about the “health” side of such plan. Thank you in advance!
