And I Shadowbox in a public park, cause there are no gyms open, and sometimes I feel kinda awkward, but when I enter in "the zone" everything flows, my main issue, tho, is that I´m so disorganized building up my "combinations"... anyways this vid came perfectly.

The only way to shadowbox and not feel dumb is to do it in a private area (e.g. your home). When you're in public and you're shadowboxing there's kind of a necessity to look like you fight professionally.

When I started muay thai, my trainer put me shadow box about 3 or 4 weeks in the mirror that was about 10 hours give or take. I was the only new guy there and I felt so bad and stupid omg... not to mention me being sore all this time from shadow boxing 😂. Took me about one year to shadow box like you in the video and to figure out little tricks. Now, I shadow box everywhere I get the chance and I love it. The easiest way to warm up + hone skill and even try "crazy" unorthodox things. Thank you for all the videos, I learned from your videos so OSSU 🙏

Bro question. How many minutes a day did you shadow box than and how many minutes do you think you shadow box now?

As a beginner i found it easier to hit the heavy bag as opposed to shadow boxing or hitting mitts with a partner. Just like first month beginner just to get a little pop on the bag, figure out my wrist placement, and especially for kicks

@@kentrellgibbs9314 fun part is that you can do it everywhere, anytime, as much as you want. This is one of those things that it's never to much. I for one, I love muay thai so I do it very often. Now, I shadowbox much less(15,20 mins after each proper warm up) due to training more and sparring more but it's just a matter of preference therefore you can do it as much as you like. I'm here to to gather more knowledge from Mr.Valtellini too after all :D

I've grown comfortable doing my shadowboxing because I have a clear definite intention of doing it and I really pretend that I'm sparring or fighting with someone when I'm shadowboxing, and this is a great video in helping me keep my shadowboxing better.

One of my biggest issues was focusing. I have bad ADD and my eyes just go everywhere whenever I'm doing a continuous task. What I learned to do was find something right in front of me and just look at that while I shadowbox. A doorknob; lamp, mirror, etc. Wherever I turn, I'm just focusing on one thing as I throw combinations and footwork. In the ring, there is only one thing you should be focused on. Your opponent. If you find your eyes wandering to the floor; lights, other people, etc. That's a habit you have to learn to kill. And it was very hard for me. But I got much better at it over time.

You should not close your eyes. try to imagine you are actually fighting someone and make it realistic. Closing your eyes is not something that will help you.

People feel dumb shadowboxing? I have a blast, I'll shadowbox anywhere I get bored, even in supermarkets while my girl is looking at the price of every single product and taking forever.
