I think getting rid of the loss leader console is their ultimate end game. They've always been a software company, so making a console themselves was kind of weird.* If they can put their games on everything else (PCs, smart devices, competitors' consoles) they really don't need to sell you a console at that point. *I suppose there's the convenience aspect where they'd have a guaranteed place for their games, and it would allow them to design games that might not be playable on the current gen hardware at the time.

Radio Shack --- The death of them was the Cell Phone. By that I mean it was not interesting to go in there anylonger since that stuff took up so much floor space it pushed out the electronics, projects and things like that.

I think we got 1 more generation of xbox. If Xbox sales drop loads next gen because of exclusives being on PS then I think Xbox won't make another generation. I think its great that PS players get to play Halo for the first time. Just let Xbox have its benefits

Yeah I'm curious as to how much Microsoft is making on Gamepass since everyone I talked to about having an Xbox they always talk about the service. If they got Gamepass working on Steam Deck I'd be a monthly user by now

Now I am just waiting for Xbox TVs with cheap Series S hardware built in some models now that the GPU and CPU manufacturers are putting their hardware in mid to upper-tier TVs that function like mini PCs in some ways.

I dunno, I've never found the Xbox menu experience to be very user friendly, at least compared to Android TV or Roku myself

@@RoXolid I am suggesting that there would possibly be an optional Xbox Game Pass app and identical onboard chips within the TV but a menu system similar to the Xbox dashboard within the TV itself is possible, but not likely. I also find it to be confusing and unintuitive.

Let's all be honest if xBox wasn't getting their teeth kicked in by the competition so bad they wouldn't be going down this road so this is the only Avenue they have what does it really matter at the end of the day no as long as they make quality games which they have not been doing for a few years now then it shouldn't matter what you play it on.

There is still a Radio Shack in Pocatello Idaho. As far as what Microsoft is going to do? Only time will tell! No reason to panic! I own both a Series X and a PS5. I game mostly on my Series X. If Microsoft allows their software on other hardware, will Sony follow suit? That would really make things interesting.

Windows live was attempted first and it failed miserably. So Microsoft put a basic PC in a box = xbox. Microsoft just want their hands on everything and don't care about gaming or how they achieve this.
