I have the "can't separate things from their initial context" autism and usually struggle with having explanations stick with me beyond the demonstrated scenario, but this video explaining the same concept in completely different scenarios really started to help make sense of this subject. I started applying the concept semi-effectively against a friend who lives and breathes fighting games after just a couple of days of processing this information and managed a few wins for a change. Thank you so much for creating this video.

1. In Pokemon you can start your strategy by prioritizing some Pokemon with certain qualities over others and switch accordingly to maintain said Pokemon's survival. 2. Or you can instead predict that your oponennt will consider said pokemon as valuable as you think and change your strategy to attack your opponent with a different stronger strategy (might be stronger especially because the opponent is expecting step 1's strategy?) NOTE: I suppose you can compare this to having a special move or situation favored instead of another (winning situation or this could refer to a specific response in a particular situation?), and then maybe switching it if you consider your opponent is also waiting for it and would probably act according to that expectation 3. so i have a dichotomy of *prediction* against *Default Play* 4. But i could also go for a strategy that hits both 2:02 5. this is what default play means 6. Pivoting: to earn a position where one cannot get value out of any of the options available AKA *win condition* (like zugzwang in chess?) 2:40 7. the term RNG is thrown without any explanation (I'm completely new to the term) I suppose this means to add ramdomness to a game or improve your odds ? , google says the term mean random number generator and at this point of the video the concept has been related to improving your odds by improving your status but then i could understand this as instead eliminating randomness by using Pivoting? 8. 12:00 keypoints set: * the inevitability of randomness * a dynamic system of apraining risk and reward (against different characters or situations things that are safe and give a secured positive result may turn into a high risk high reward option for example) 9. FGs are not slow turn based, so the situations must be accessed in training mode considering available resources for the oponent and your defensive options when you're forced to guess 10. choosing in defense to take the throw would lower the risk of getting heavily punished by trying to take back the turn. Also will improve my odds of winning when the opponent chooses any other thing than throw 11. still a stronger opponent will reset their pressure or throw you every time you prove to him that you will not try to take the turn 12 *Random situations repeatedly placed in your opponent's favor will inevitably win them the game* so matching and trying to guess will always be at the opponent's advantage 13. Some opponents will realize that you are conditioning them and will refuse to adapt, at this moment the situation turns back to RNG 14. even guessing right can play against you because of a bad reaction, this adds to the randomness of the situation 15. 17:33 introducing option selects to eliminate randomness (or fuzzies) 16. the use of a fuzzy jump can enable mashing if the opponent starts to delay his pressure trying to lock you up 17. 24:10 "If you're forced into guessing too often and you're losing for that then you either need some shift in perspective or your opponent has you in their win condition and they've earned this. these situations are chances to grow beyond our flow charts or to expand upon them so that we find ourselves in new situations that could shatter the skill plateaus we find ourselves stuck in" GOLD NOTE: Thank you, it may be because you use an academic approach to this and your language is complex it took me a more step-by-step analysis to figure out what you meant. I wish the example you gave had been focused on offense more (like the Pokemon one), and maybe this added to my confusion, but I get the idea and appreciate your advice and words. I do recommend though to assume part of your public is not as savvy as you are and might be entangled in words or definitions you think are common. Is funny, I've had similar thoughts on the subject of eliminating randomness on some situations,. and I decided i needed to : first, eliminate things from my mental stack where they are not possible or inevitable and focus in the next option by buffering my possible answer (like a DP after a fireball), and the other one was precisely akin to what you suggest here, to use fuzzies or OS in some situations and twitch them accordingly to my opponent's reaction to them, but I had the insecurity of thinking that maybe I was theorizing too much and it wouldn't work in practice, thank you again for helping me and showing the right way. Sorry for the long response, I did it out of respect for your content, and for reviewing purposes in the future, doesn't matter if you don't read it anyway.

I tried to understand but at the end I just couldn't. Your video seems really interesting but at the end I felt like I need more practical examples of this to understand what you mean and how to apply this to every circumstance. I will try to watch it later with a colder head to see what I'm missing
