You are really amazing and your method is phenomenal and it’s easy and people think they’ve got to do all these crazy things to get their dogs to perform and I started doing what you did on your last video and I’m doing about turns now and guess what after three years of trying 1 million methods and I mean 1 million methods you’re just working thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you

yep. tried it all for years. pieces of other things made sense to me but it wasn't complete or concise. just watching his uploaded videos has changed everything for us. not perfect... its only been just over a week and get some slack about the prong... people saying they just submit to it and learn nothing. well I had my dog in the yard yesterday no collar and called him over, asked him to heel and did a few uturns and stops. perfect (cuz no distractions lol) and no collar or leash coercing him to do things. so tell me my dog hasn't learned anything! 😅 I love it. Am actually excited to train now. we are both more confident

Most people should not train a dog. Treats are good for training but they are not the best tool. A leash is. Not a harness ever! Learn something

You are the best trainer on YT.... hands down. Other trainers are afraid to say some of these things.

100% man. A lot of people think loose leash walking is easier than heeling, but both take work. Heeling is just drilling your dog to stay next to you, while loose leash walking is way more complex. The dog has freedom to move within the leash, but they have to learn where the boundary is and make good choices. That means you’re teaching them to respond to leash pressure, understand their limits, and manage their own decisions all at once. If a dog hits the end of the leash and doesn’t yield, it’s not really loose leash walking-they just don’t get the rules yet. It’s not about pulling less; it’s about building real understanding.

I don’t use treats most of the time. People absolutely hate how I train but I can confidently say they don’t get the same results as I do and probably don’t struggle as long as I typically do

Tried with my golden and a prong collar for over a year. He will never take treats outside and will pull with the prong to the point he aftually has a mark on his neck was never able to fox that.

You're using the prong incorrectly; it should be used as a correction tool when they pull or forge ahead. It shouldn't be used like a flat collar the dog pulls against. A good sharp pop with the leash or if the dog tries to chase after a squirrel and abruptly reaches the end of the leash. Try a Herm Sprenger 2.5 mm prong collar, not the martingale style. It worked for my Malinois and German Shorthaired Pointer.

Thank you so much for your videos - you have given Me hope for my reactive utenagan , I wondered if you could tell me which pronged coller to buy , I live in rural france and don’t have access to trainers- I can’t walk my dog as he is 40 kg and so reactive it’s just not safe . Your videos have given me hope that I can achieve a better quality of life for me and my dog . Thank you for all you do cx

Look for the herm Sprenger collars and you have to measure your dogs throat /neck. If you buy one that doesn't fit right, you can watch a video from Robert Carbral . He showed some hacks how you can fit the prong right, if it's too loose. (I'm from Germany and I have also a reactive big dog so I feel you 😅 hope my answer can help you ) There are some cheaper prong collars, but they have the prongs going all in one direction. The herm Sprenger is still the best one!

@@RobiPerk0125 How E collar work means involuntary muscle laxation. At max level, it's strange short hair breed like Doberman would tank it and ignore correction. Even IGP 3 champion dogs and military dogs which got desentisized around explosion and gunfire, don't just ignore E Collar correction at max level like that. Also outright human agression is as much as protective as Doberman. This Doberman needs in person professional trainer assessment. Not online assessment, training tips nor owner DIY troubleshooting.

@@lukeryuzaki2328 every dog has different pain or aversive tollerance so ... its not the first dog that I see like that and IGP lvl 3 dog doesnt mean he has high pain tollerance i dont know what you are talking about and I guess that you did not know either ..
@lukeryuzaki2328
@lukeryuzaki2328 Жыл бұрын
@@Facectrl91 High pain toleration doesn't mean the nerve, muscle doesn't involuntarily respond to high enough static current. Are your dog trained not to released even if it's body slam by 200+lbs guy to the wall and the concrete ground? Desensitized to gun, explosion sound? Guess what they don't go from zero to 100% and ignore high enough level of E collar. Pick your poison: you are shite trainer who somehow desensitize$d your dog to E collar, or your dog is a special kind of shite. There is no nothing called a 90% recall. Either your dog obey you or not. Whenever it disobey, it's not yet fully trained. I lost count of how many dogs I have work over the years. Yeah I don't know. And the guy who ask for help because on KZbin video know better. If you're as good as you think you are, your dog wouldn't have problem with this level of human aggression the first place, smartass.
