Truth. I am a southside Chicago dude from the late 70s and 80s. I had to deal with some trouble from the BGD Third World nation. Luckily I was able to escape . when I got home. My dad told me you can do one of two things. Learn to fight or learn to run. Feel free to call me a punk if you want to that is fine with me so I joined the track team and became captain of the track team. The thugs basically had 50 to 100 yards to catch me; after that you had no chance.

😂 That was smart! we had some loser gang called 'The Halloran Gang' that caused trouble in the neighborhood near Halloran park in Cleveland on the West side. A bunch of troubled teens with nothing else to do. They used to vandalize and try to intimidate people. Back then there were a bunch of neighborhood gangs in Cleveland but nothing like what you had to deal with in Chicago. It is funny looking back because it reminds me of the classic movie "The Warriors."

I don't understand it. I left Cleveland about four times, lived in FL, CO and GA. Every time I left I missed Cleveland, it has a way of bringing you back. It is a much more beautiful city now then what it was. Also, much cheaper living here than most places. Actually, I dislike FL with a passion, I won't even visit my mom there. lol They have to visit me up here. The humidity, traffic and rude people in FL is something else.

I grew up in the country in Bama. I first started riding when I moved to Kansas. Wanted to explore so I rode through the hood in Kansas City. Yeah some folks don't know what they are getting into when they explore hoods. If you go to the hood you have to go in the morning when all the thugs are asleep. lol It is best to stay out tho, not a nice place to mess around in. As someone that lives a few streets off from the hood, and works in the hood, on the east side of town, you get some interesting characters. Thats the one redeeming factor. Very wide spectrum of people. The other fun thing about the hood, is sitting on the back porch at my place, and playing the fun game of "Is it gun shots, fireworks, motorcycle, or crappy car?" Sometimes there's a bonus of "Dr*g lab garage blow up" and that gets you extra points. Fun times! Good vid! I keep watching your stuff to see if you'll drive by my place at some point. xD

Such a shame that Cleveland is tough on guns while most of Ohio has promoted gun carrying and ownership. There has been a massive decline in homicides in the areas that promote concealed carried guns, while Cleveland is climbing in murder rate. From FBI stats: Cleveland, Ohio, is among the U.S. cities with the highest homicide rates. There were a total of 160 murders reported in the city in 2020, or 42.2 for every 100,000 people - well above the national homicide rate of 6.5 murders per 100,000. Even though homicide is the least common form of criminal violence - accounting for less than 2% of all violent crimes - places with high homicide rates also often have high overall violent crime rates, and Cleveland is no exception. There were 1,657 violent crimes reported for every 100,000 people in Cleveland in 2020, compared to 399 incidents per 100,000 nationwide. In the backwoods TN where many city folks don't like, it appears to be much safer: Small town TN averages 0.0186 per 1,000 residents during a standard year, but Memphis is 44.4 for every 100,000 people - well above the national homicide rate of 6.5 murders per 100,000. Stay safe, and live your best life where you fit in.

@@jhonnydumeny9816 Yes. There's that, but too many reject better opportunities. The Mexicans and other undocumented workers wouldn't have any jobs if a lot of these people didn't want to work and/ or didn't lack skills. How do all those people find work? There are really plenty of opportunities. That hood mentaility needs that culture change. It just perpetuates stereotypes. I find that the Mexicans, etc., work and don't typically go around robbing people or selling drugs for "easy money." I think political correctness is the problem. There's a time and place for that, but it's been used as a weapon against anything those people see as "Right wing." Those people need to wake up. As far as those that go around robbing and selling drugs, I don't care about any lack of opportunity because when those people beat you and take your money, or harm someone you know even, you see the situation differently and less romantically. Those people need to have that behavior extinguished amd if punishing them and forcing them to work will do that, then so be it. The people from out of state and far away suburbs don't know anything and are just making the problem worse by trying to protect these people. The solution has to come from people in hood communities without the political tribalism that kills anything good from happening. Those people have to be the more sensible ones, see reality, have experience, and not be in denial because with those people, they will get nowhere. I think a solution that borrows bits and pieces from the political spectrum would be good. The easiest thing to do is decide to leave any hood area and just move on with your life.
