The biggest problem I usually have with rats is the volume doesn't hit unity until about 3 o'clock. By then, it's feeding back like crazy. This seems to have remedied that issue
@supercoolpedals20 сағат бұрын
This always frustrated me too, so I violently designed it to have entirely too much output gain on tap. The result was unity being at like 9 o'clock, but I like the danger of having a completely unnecessary amount of gain potential sitting on your board! It also allows you to use it as a really interesting boost at little to no distortion levels - something very unique to the Barstow Bat that Ryan showed off with some clean strat tones.

So I have my Alchemy Audio modded Rat pedal that I love. I have a mini switch for different diodes and a "Dead Bat" mini knob to starve the pedal for voltage. So for the "Ultimate Rat" pedal, that works for me. I also have a Ibanez Tubescreamer Mini pedal in front of it to goose it if I want (I use the TS to goose my Big Muff too). So I am covered there. This is a great pedal (I watched the original video from the Company on KZbin) and this is definitely a cool pedal. Putting this up against a real Rat, a JHS "Dirty Rat" and a Joyo Splinter would be a good comparison video. Good job on the video and good job on your wardrobe selection this time.😎👍✨🌵🌵

The film “NEAR DARK” comes close to that premise. It’s the best vampire movie ever. Bill Paxton is great in it

I watch that epic film quite often. Paxton is great, the whole cast is fantastic. Bill improvised most of the bar scene, talented actor.

Button pushed in would be "turbo" mode. The Turbo Rat has LEDs for clipping. LEDs have higher forward voltage, hence the signal will be louder and will start clipping later

Neat. But I have to give the “BAT” by Drunk beaver a BIG shout out. All of his pedals are top TOP tear, hand crafted works of art. Inside and out. He’s a genius. A nice one too. The prices are really great for what he does. It’s a shame his stuff is overlooked. He’s just much more quiet about his pedals. He’s the real deal dudes.

The Fender Ultra-innovator 2000 is a wonderful name for a guitar. Too bad Fender are too full of stuffed shirts to use it!

Hey Ryan, read a book titled last call by the author Tim Powers. It’s got Vegas desert towns, gambling vampires.

It really is a classic modern and/or contemporary fantasy novel. I guess the latter could be parsed the wrong way while the former would still work even if you got it wrong.

I like the sound on the lower settings of level and gain, but that is me. My approach to pedals is "just a little bit" to give some punctuation and character. I have so many distortion and overdrive pedals I need to work with for my tone. I have a Fender Lead 2 with the same PU configuration as that beautiful Strat being used here. Also I'm using a new Tonemaster, yes, the modeling amp. So I really don't think I need pedals so much with my setup, but of course I have to check out every pedal in existence. I think if I were to spend more money it would be on a Missing Link Anthem pedal. The Lynyrd Skynrd one. But that is me. I am into blues and Southern Rock. I am currently working with a Wampler Belle. I think that was reviewed on this channel. The reviews of pedals on this channel are exceptional and I would rely on this for further pedals coming out..

No. This is all wrong. A Rat topology is the wrong foundation for a "Bat" pedal. Even if it rhymes, or maybe because of it, it's unforgivably wrong. This pedal should be based around some fuzz face variant, or some such psychedelic monstrosity. So that you can feel the rabbit scream its climax, as you play "White Rabbit" for 7 hours at a time. With breaks to forget what you've been playing. That converts to 10 hours for you metric freaks.
