These points are great. Totally agree. I’ve been maintaining a healthy weight for around 7 years now and I’ve been both overweight and clinically underweight as a result of my past ED and I will say now that I do not count calories, I practice mindfulness and intuitive eating because that for me stops me from hyperfocusing/orthorexic tendencies. I focus on balance throughout the overall day and week rather than specifically per each meal. I don’t count macros, I don’t restrict food groups (except I’m pescatarian so I don’t eat meat except fish). I aim for 10k steps a day (approximately but I do not obsess over it) in combination with yoga and some hiit but I’m intuitive with my exercise too and I dont plan it in excess. I also learned how to cook and bake and this also totally healed my relationship with food. I haven’t felt guilt with food in so long and if anyone is still on their recovery journey, keep going you’re doing great and you will get there xx❤

Good for you that you’re eating with common sense. I stay away from yoga because it’s dangerous spiritually, and have asked Jesus into my heart. God bless you❣️🥰💕🙏🏻💕

I appreciate the common sense information that you provide. For instance, you can eat primarily whole food plant-based, but that doesn’t mean you have to be perfect. The occasional dessert or refined carbs is OK.

Biggest challenge for me was to relearn my hunger and fullness cues Spent over 12 yrs in New York where portions are just so much bigger and as a poor college student, the ‘all you can eat’ diners etc knocked the much healthier European approach to food I was brought up with… sadly, also some of the old rules instilled by my grandmother of eating all that was on my plate meant that due to the much larger portions in the States, I essentially ended up consuming almost twice the calories I would normally have… but live and learn…

Food is the most powerful medicine! Moving from the ideal of being thin equals beautiful to healthiness’ beautiful. I think considering that everyone is a very different beauty, in terms of weight, in terms of size, look. I’ve noticed that women are getting skinny thinner and thinner. There’s also so much information about different diets, and overwhelming and confusing… Its good aware of a good diet is to inspire women to make changes to their diet and also their lifestyle, diet, exercise, sleep based on hormone, health, longevity, beauty as well as skin in the future.

Hey Lucie! I'm a college student (a very busy one at that) and I'm very lucky to be a healthy eater. The only struggle I have is getting full at meals. Sometimes I'm in such a rush I can't finish a meal, or if I do, I'm still hungry or want more. I wish there are quick, easy, healthy meals out there but the only things I can think of are protein bars (healthy ones at least) and oatmeal (which I hate lol). I know you probably won't have an answer for this but do you have some kind of solution for this?

What do you think about intermittent fasting? I just finished 2 weeks of eating only every other day. I ate whatever I wanted but now I'm starting with healthier options. Is that considered a "yo-yo" diet?

Intermittent Fasting is my lifestyle, not a short yo-yo diet. So if you adjust your fasting hours by inly a little, but do not quit, you should be fine with I.F. permanently 👍

QUESTION!! How do I lose fat if I like eating a lot and I'm trying to not overeat snacks I like -any advice? however i cant rlly listen to my hunger cues because it takes a long time for me to get hungry after a meal e.g. 10 hours
@marcellaoreilly2730

Are you relying on snacks? Or are you eating mindlessly (I.e. reading, scrolling, watching TV?) focus on eating smaller meals throughout the days rather than bigger meals that will curb snacking altogether. Usually snacking is your body’s way of compensating for what you aren’t intaking(more often than not it’s protein and healthy fats like nuts, seeds, oily fish) if you eat smaller portions of these you probably won’t even crave snacks x

@@dqgamingpkxd1146smaller meals like for breakfast could be one egg, 1 or 2 slices of toast Lunch: 2 tablespoons of pasta/ rice or a medium potato, portion of meat/ spoonful of veggies and dinner: portion of meat, spoonful of veggies or salad and handful of nuts. If you fancy a treat go ahead! Don’t deprive yourself either: i.e fun size chocolate bar/ 2 squares of chocolate or a small bag of crisps xxx
