As an animator, I would probably love to use this tool when working on already-animated assets that need to be quickly "converted" to stop-motion, or when I made a rough blocking pass and want to use the converter as a quick way to create new keyframes But always for me to edit afterward, similarly to what tweenmachine/breakdowner works.

I love the addon, the only issue I've run into is with the camera. After applying the addon and rendering it, the animation seems jittery if the camera is moving. How do i resolve this? thanks again for giving this out for free :)

Why not just add a stepped modifier on your action in the NLA-Editor? It saves you the hastle of having modifiers on your f-curves because it applies to everything that's animated inside that action and it's rly easy to manage it in the NLA editor.

This is fantastic and super useful, for someone who finds fcurve modifiers a bit scary! I cant wait to try it on some animation that switches between 3s and 4s like spider-verse does. Is there a way to bake it down to actual keys? That'd be huge as well!

Thanks for the free addon! Has there been an update to your Clay Shader? I bought it four days ago on Gumroad, and it doesn't have the Mapping socket. I'm a complete noob to Blender (two weeks in), so for the time being, I'm incapable of adding one. I tried plugging the mapping into the fingerprint bump, but all that does is change the depth, not the rotation. Which makes sense come to think of it, but I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

The start frame feature doesn't work, is this the case for anyone else? When I change it to anything else other than 1 or 0, it still does the stop motion thingy at 0 or 1 until the end frame that I put. How do I fix this?

probably because you are using belnder 3.6, i think you need to use 3.5

I'm still waiting to be able to grab real stopmotion images into a blender universe. Having a live feed and onion skin feature from a canon DSLR or the like projected into a blender scenography. That would be awesome. I find your title a bit misleading in that regard. Unless you're using a servo rigged armature to bring your creations alive😆

If traditional animation was 24 fps, and if "on twos" means each image holds for 2 frames, then doesn't that simply equate to 12 fps? Couldn't someone achieve that simply by setting their frame rate to 12? Is there a different 12 fps and on twos that I'm not getting? Honest question

This would make the animation look the same, but having a camera movement animate at 12 fps will be very jittery when doing large motions. So it's better to animate your scene on twos, some ones, and keep camera on ones.

Isn’t stop motion using real life objects? Wouldn’t this just be called an animation not stop motion?
