There is a reason why combiner wars onslaught is a backwards version of hot spot it to match the g1 transformation in the show and in the g1 toy onslaughts hands and arms made the cab section of the truck

...yeah, I'm still not getting the Smash analogies here. Brawl, it made sense, and was kinda funny. Same with Vortex. Blast off also made sense, but Swindle and Onslaught...eh? Oh well. At least we get to see Bruticus on Wii U.

Flipping the cannons over in vehicle mode, so the shorter barrels are above the longer ones, makes it look a lot better if you don't have cyclonus guns.

This is the only one I bought with the ever slim hope that maybe the deluxe shuttle Blast Off mold would make it overseas like Groove did... that and it was the only one on the shelf and I knew I really like the mold anyway. Turned out it was a dud, one of the combiner ports is gunked up with excess mold flash, so he's never going to combine anyway. Hope I don't run into any issues like that with Baldigus...

I was making a shapeways add on for it, to make the vehicle mode look like something but I failed miserably. Looking at your take on alternative vehicle mode I may give it a second chance. Can't promise anything though. Great review as always. Just realized the Smash Bros reference...

I think g1 onslaught was a remold of g1 hotspot too I think...ya because they shared transformations and molded parts right?

Bot mode looks awesome! The cab in vehicle mode is plain weird... it's like the company who per say would've manufactured such a vehicle thought that the driver and co-pilot must have separate cabs. "Sir! The superior interior luxury designs and number of buttons that just need to be pushed that we installed in our transport truck are causing the test drivers to fight each other inside the cab!" "That's it! Separate the cab into cells!" :P
