I walked the Camino Frances in May / June of 2024. This video details the following: What I am glad I brought What I WISH I would have brought Things I got rid of along the way Things I had to buy

i like your eye mask. I have a similar one with bluetooth pairing to phone for music. it should work with earplugs.

Oh you're just about to start talking about blister care, and I see you have the URU package!! that australian hiker wool is nice stuff
@NewsViewsAndTruth16 күн бұрын
ouch that compeed stuff is expensive, so I can't imagine how much more it costs on the camino. My suggestion for blister care is Leukotape. This can replace bandage tape, and you simply put a layer of this over a hot spot before you get a blister

Speaking of towels for hiking, have you seen the Swedish dishcloths? They come in a pack of like ten for ten bucks, and people really like them. I am not sold on them yet, but got some to test out.
@NewsViewsAndTruth16 күн бұрын
oh well swedish dish cloths are tiny, and you want an even bigger towel. Wouldn't work for you, and I guess I am thinking more ultralight backpacking than camino hiking.
@TravelLightAdventureduo16 күн бұрын
I have seen those but haven’t tried them! Do they make full sized ones for showering? That would be cool

Did you have any issues with bed bugs? If so, any tips?
@TravelLightAdventureduo3 ай бұрын
@@sophiafortain5135 a fellow pilgrim got bed bugs the night before we arrived in Santiago. Biggest tip is to keep your backpack closed and away from the mattress so if there are bedbugs they don’t get inside your backpack and come with you to the next place. They are big enough to see, so you can check your mattress around the seams to look for them. Buen camino!

I walked PCT trail 3 times... each time my backpack weighed like 50 lbs. 😅 ... Thinking about the Camino... I yhink my backpack would weigh the same..
@TravelLightAdventureduo4 ай бұрын
@@Anamolouslou Wow three times!? That is impressive! As long as you’re comfortable with the weight it doesn’t really matter. Other people will tell you you’re crazy, though! ☺️
