I purchased the black version of the 216 and it has been amazing to build in and work on. it looks great and my GPU has definitely benefitted from this upgrade. What I like a lot about this case is that they addressed most of the problems with the Lancool II, some of which I gave them feedback about when I built my PC in that case. It took several minutes of wiggling and wedging in order to get the HDD tray out of the bottom of that case, and they fixed that. The front I/O had an exposed PCB that they've now hidden. They also redesigned the cable shrouds in the back so they won't block cable routing along the edge of the case.

When testing if GPUs will fit, esp 4xxx ones, can we start seeing how much space there is to accomodate the 12vHPWR cable, and more importantly, how much space there is to easily manage bending of said cable. Most cases now fit long GPUs (so front of case to back), and most people dont run that much more in the spare PCIe slots so top to bottom thickness isnt really an issue, but for me the biggest problem is how wide (so mobo to side panel) the GPUs are. I know that my OG 011 Dynamic has problems with certain GPUs already, so I think it would be good to show, or at least comment upon. Its really the only fitment issue that most builds have now.

Nice review! When I decided to build a system about a year and a half ago, I originally wanted a Lian Li Lancool 215... but another customer grabbed the last one in stock as I was headed back to get it... So, I ended up getting the Lancool II Mesh Performance case instead. I has been a wonderful case, with great airflow and was easy to build in, just a bit on the bigger side. I like that they are continuing to build quality cases with attention to building ease and air flow. (and I am still using the Vetroo V5 (lapped/sanded) to cool my 5900x. It seems to do a good job as long as the CPU stays below 170 watts for prolonged periods of time. (i run a 4500mhz all core OC at 2.7 volts and never have temp issues in a 25c to 26c room even doing 30 to 60 minute long video rendering). I bought t V5 thinking I would use it until I saved up for a better AIO...but, I have never needed it, unless I was running benchmarks ... probably could have scored better on Timespy etc with an AIO, but got into the top of the charts at the time for stock or air cooled CPUs based on my CPU/GPU with a $25 cooler, it was a wonderful tip you gave and is still working well. I rarely see temps go above 60c to 65c when gaming (total temp - so mostly under 30c to 40c above ambient while gaming for hours). Thanks for the good work and great reviews.

Different people have different requirements for their cases e.g. size, convenience, utility etc. I dont want to get a large PC case that takes up more room than it needs to. Sometimes a case that fulfills those requirements is not available for cheap.

This case is the perfect size for value and cooling performance for a silent system.

That's a pretty sick case for $100! I especially like the USB panel there on the side. That's by far the most accessible part of my case from where I sit, so occasional thumb drives right there would be awesome. When I get around to making my full water-cooled next build, I'm definitely keeping that case top of mind.

I bought this case even though I hated that logo on the front. Thankfully, it can easily be removed by taking out a few screws. Excellent case. Great airflow. Solid build. Good price especially for 2 huge 160mm rgb fans and 1 140 in the back. I have no complaints.

The lian li logo at the front can be removed? Thinking of buying this case but the front logo is annoying me.

Now that I built in Lian Li cases for my last 3 builds... I am spoiled with their quality and features, it would be hard to get me to go back to another brand now.

Put my new rig together in this case just this weekend, after not having had the ability to upgrade my PC for over 10 years it was a joy to build in this case. Definitely recommend it.

We need more iFixIt ads which are more up to date since inventory isn't really an issue anymore. Like fixing the 12VHPWR adapters, fixing the artifacting on DLSS3, and fixing the high temperatures on Zen4 and Intel CPUs.

Unfortunately, these types of vids drive the price of the genuinely good budget cases up to match the rest of the mid range and then it doesn't really mean anything anymore :/

The best looking and still quite practical case is the DEEPCOOL matrexx 40 with excellent airflow, modest look, compact size and unbeatable price. Good build quality also. The only draw back is the fans that come with it are useless but it costs less than 40 USD. All you have to do is buy 2 140mm fans for the front. There is no airflow casing that can beat it on looks. The NZXT H7 airflow comes close but still not at that level.
@kennethpereyda5707 Жыл бұрын
the custom 160 fans is it's major draw or failure depending how you look at it.
@TheFinalRevelation2 Жыл бұрын
@@kennethpereyda5707 I agree, following standard is better cause many people change their fans a couple of years later, take a look at the deepcool matrexx 40 and its potential, I put an rtx 3070ti in it and 2 140mm fans, love the looks and the convenience of opening and closing the side panels. I've also got a PC built in an XPG Defender Pro. The problem with airflow mesh cases is its very hard to design an minimalistic aesthetically pleasing casing. And when you put in RGB fans in the front they often ruin the looks instead of complementing it. The deepcool matrexx 40 is a killer case if you put in 140mm black fans in the front. Had they made it a bit taller for a full atx motherboard it could have dominated the market.

Wow!🤩 What a beautiful and well organised case by Lian Li ✊💪. As an ITX builder, this is the first large case (by my standards) that’s actually wants me to buy it 🤣🤫. Great job by the Lian Li designers, builders, engineers etc 🥰.

Yes, it's one of the few PC cases these days that's big and looks good, most simply look like they were designed by a 5 year old.

I went ahead and pre-ordered it on Newegg. (The 216X, black with no rgb) Honestly can't wait to get this thing, as it ticks over 90% of my boxes in cases.

I can't think of a bad thing about this case, esp if you're only using an matx board, so much room for rads and fans.

Lian Li makes some good stuff, I am still running a PC-62 that I first used with a 2600k. Its made from thick aluminum unlike most of the stuff you see now that's as thin as a soda can.

I think you forgot to mention that you can flip the plate that holds the robber grommets, so it can fit correctly an E-ATX motherboard. Love your vids bro!
