Please help. I can't find a tutorial on the song lullaby by the cure. But this lovely gentleman has done this kick butt cover on it. I know you're the only person who could possibly make this happen. 😅😢 please mr.ukulele teacher. 🙏🙌 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZKuc414bLSHnq8&feature=share7

Knowing when to walk away is a really important one. Frustration can take the fun out of playing so putting it down, sleeping and trying again the next day is a good way to stay energised. I would say though, don't end on a difficult piece. End your practice session with something you play well. It'll remind you why you love the uke and just be a positive, fun time at the end of a hard practice session.

I've had times myself where there was a song I just could not strum and sing at the same time, and the next day after a good night's sleep something just clicked and I could play and sing together no problem. It's amazing what a good night's sleep can do! It helps those new skills really sink in from working memory to long term.

This was Great. I totally agree with Slooooooow. It really matters. Another practice tip I tried was recording the same song just once a day for 30 days. Go back and listen to see what a difference 30 days makes. It's very encouraging for those times when you just suck and want to give it all up. Don't!....it's part of the journey. 🕯

Recording yourself in general is actually a great tip - it's really helpful to watch yourself back and see what you're doing right/wrong. If I ever make a part two of this I'll definitely include it, thanks!

@TheUkuleleTeacher Please do. Recording used to be a Nightmare for me. I'm not afraid of too many things. Something about that little button would make me paralyzed. I call it "Cameraitis". I could NOT let that defeat me! 🤣. It took me about 9 months to get over the video part. I still choke on audio. But, not as bad. If I can do it, Yes...ANYONE can. I like your tutorials very much. ✌️ Thank You, ~ Mary 🕯

Iv found once iv mastered playing an easy version of my absolute favourite songs I'm then motivated to find intermediate versions and then gradually progressing onto advanced by say learning a bit of a tricky riff and adding it a bit at a time to the easy strumming version until I end up sounding awesome!

1:33 May I ask, what song this is? Is it something from Nintendo Super Mario? It sounds so familiar and happy! Can someone give me the name of the song, so I can look for it on the internet? Your videos are great. Some nights I am just binge watching them. Thanks a lot!

Buy a few cheap (or not) ukuleles and stick them in every room so; 1) you feel guilty if you don't play them and 2) so a practice opportunity is never far away.
