I had a fantastic english teacher. Many, many years ago. I will never forget her. I did not go to school until i was about 8 years old. When leaving further education, i went on to become audio secretary, working at the highest level, dealing with conveyancing, signing and sealing housing documents. Working along side housing solicitors. House sales. Office machinery, receptionist, sunday school teacher and a small amount of shop work. Not bad as i was considered a late starter. Please don't worry about your children. If they want to learn, it will happen. 😃

Yes,indeed. I am a Filipino immigrant to the USA in June 1980. In Philippines,I have had learned in school the correct usage of both very good & very bad. The word very is: an adverb to modify noun ,pronoun, verb, adverb & adjective. Therefore we say: very good ( good is an irregular adjective) Now: in your explanation in your lecture that these both very good & very bad are no longer in English the second language learning in school. You should know that English the second language is the universal learning in school& language.

I am not looking for a resounding success in my life by learning English, just want to pass the exam, watching your videos might help me to take out from an abject failure in English exam named CAEL. I was skimming through internet to find out good English learning videos specially on grammar, there is some excellent material but I noticed, comparatively your videos are not less than a golden opportunity to learn from. I have convinced myself that learning from your videos is a wise choice, I am already victim of harsh criticism from my son in grade one, He says that my English is horrible. Hence I will be in deep trouble until I pass the exam and qualify for licensing because I have spent considerable amount of money and time for my studies, otherwise that will be simply a huge loss in my career.

Tara Adh you’re right. I think I liked it because of the message 😊. The “a” shouldn’t be used for sound advice, and the next part should look be written “ but a greater one [referring to man] to accept it graciously. “. Btw, “a” is a word, not just a sound. It’s an article, sometimes interchangeable with “one”. Eg a man/one man. I don’t remember the exact rules for when you use a or one. Maybe you can tell us!
