This is super interesting! I'm actually a student in my last year studying Geography at University, and when people find out I want to pursue photography and videography, they're always really surprised and ask how the two disciplines relate, and even though I haven't been able to pin it down until now, after watching your video - geography teaches you different ways to see the world, to look at the big picture, but also all the different possible scales and let it all add to the bigger understanding, to find the little details that often go unnoticed, to view something from all the different possible perspectives and bring in together in image/view. Can you do some sort of behind the scenes video/tutorial of your next shoot? I would like to see what it's like from beginning to end - including workflow in post and basic steps you take. Like, what do you check on location, how do you judge lighting, what do you change on site and what do you perhaps script? This is a great video and enabled me to find a way to compose a photo that I've been thinking about for a while. This is a fantastic video full of very useable content. I used to film weddings and would capture tons of b-roll and short interviews and well wishes from the couple's family and friends. The bride and groom didn't ask for this extra work and didn't even know about the extra footage until they saw the final cut, it was a home run ever time. It really wasn't that much extra work since I was there anyway. Plus after your tenth weekend in a row in a suit (I hate wearing suits and dress shoes) you find yourself looking for ways to make things interesting. Thanks Peter, you're doing great work.

As an amateur photographer I have been applying this philosophy to my landscapes for years I keep on returning to the same spots in different weather and light, trying to tell a different story.
