I listened once to this, then listened again and took notes. Needed to hear this and meditate on it. Too many times when together with "friend group" its a completion to see who can out talk each other or jump in at the first pause. Now I can sit back and listen w/o feeling the need to have my turn.

I notice when the narrator uses Lewis, he gives him credit. This episode was his own sharing...which is exactly what the dialog is about. Never does he suggest these are C.S. Lewis words. The message is profound. It is the wisdom of listening...I encourage you to listen again without judgment. This information is valuable to our turn on earth.

I talk more about myself because I'm scared of asking people about them unless they choose to divulge without being prompted. I don't want to come across as prying. Also, I end saying way too much because when I'm quite it feels like they'll think I'm rude.

Respectfully, not all things that do not come from the Holy Bible is necessarily false or useless. Whether it's C. S. Lewis or not, is not critical to me. What is critical, is that the message, for the most part, is helpful. Chew the meat and spit out the bones.

I have a sister in law that I call Calamity Jane ! She is a constant chatterbox and I love her! She always accuses me of working for the CIA. Because I am not inclined to volunteer a minute by minute report of my life since we last saw each other, I would rather listen to hers and she is most happy to indulge me. She says getting information about me …from me is like trying to get information on an international spy. She makes me laugh constantly. 😊 It is a peanut butter and jelly relationship.

Yeah, this is advice for people who talk too much, not for general audiences. I know people who won't let you tell a story, period. They cut you off and hijack every sentence to the extent that it's not worth even trying to talk to them. Nobody in their right mind would tell you to listen to them more, because it's impossible not to listen to them.

This is a deceptive AI generated channel. There are many recent postings on this channel purporting to be from CS Lewis using his name and picture. And many of them include references to social media or scrolling. CS Lewis was a brilliant, brilliant teacher and philosopher who passed away in 1963, long before cell phones, or social media or scrolling. No matter how positive this channel tries to be, it is deceptive and trying to capitalize on the great name of a dead man who is not around to defend his reputation. His actual works are profound, brilliant and funny. He changed many peoples lives. He wrote the Narnia Chronicles, and Perelandra. His main thrust was that he was a devoted follower of Christ and he would not have authored a channel that was primarily secular. How would you like someone to take your voice and use it to speak to the world saying things that are even a little bit off from your core beliefs? Because they knew that you had influence that they don’t have innately? I find this sickening. .

Fair Point, and one that is definitely worth the attention. Anything artificial, can only be of detriment to the Truth, even reality. Perhaps when AI interferes with the Holy Word of Wisdom, all spiritual sense and unseen discernment will become Null & Void ! People done that before, when they decided to artificially interpret the word of God with modern day grammar, changing the whole perspective on some occasions. It’s a Good job the Spirit is stronger than the Flesh… I do find it odd, that the channel is monetised 🤔 it makes one wonder, what the incentive is ??

you are not whole exactly as you are, I had to stop listening there. as long as you are in this world conforming to Christ should be a constant or you are missing the chance to grow in his word and will here and now and limiting the potential he has for your life and miss the destiny he could be calling you to see if you werent set in your own ways. its not you who is enough its Christ who is enough. and he is the hope of glory that seeks for you to shine in the light as he in the light. to live in you as you are in him.

Take your time to receive instructions from the Lord about opening a community based group. If you have a public room that can be used, that's great, but keep everything discreet. You will face opposition, and it may fail. If there are elders in your church who are mature and think like you, it is a good idea to have a partner. Talk to your pastor about your idea, your concerns. Do not attempt to do thiss on your own. Don't gossip about participants. Always bless them. Pray, pray, pray.

ahh.. the irony, the more you want to help, the more your friends push you away, sometimes you thought they want just a listening ear, but they want your input, sometimes you ask them what they need help in but they refuse to tell you, and who is in control? Not you not your friends not those around you but Christ. So God has a plan but his plan is not your plan, not your friends not the world but HIS PLAN.. which includes natural disasters and hell also. Yes, not every believer who profess Christ will go to heaven Coz HIS plan says those who are HIS are going to heaven and HE will lose not one of them. Yeah His sheep and his people are lucky. luck is Jesus will. So.. just believe.. i guess? Lol

The big question why is this world in such a mess? Sin is the why. Get to that place and then the cross can begin to make sense to you. God's love and mercy, and His judgment on sin met there at the cross. Sinners broke God's Law, Jesus paid the fine in full. All have sinned, sin got Adam and Eve kicked out of Paradise, and will keep those who ignore God's forgiveness and redemtion out of Eternal Heaven. Jesus the Savior, Messiah, who knew no sin became sin for us so that we could be reconciled to God and Heaven bound in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21. We all make our choice. The only way Holy God and sinful mankind can get back together is the God-man, the Son of God son of man, God come in the flesh. John 3:16. 🙏 God Bless You
