Great video. So that position is called inside wrist ride. Giving boths sides defense and attack is what makes this the best channel. I get a much deeper understanding. Thank you

Here's another Wrist Ride counter that I use against much larger opponents: When the top wrestler gets the Wrist Ride on me (say, grabs my right wrist), I bring my same side knee to my chest (i.e. right knee to chest), and Monkey Grip securely around it with the trapped arm. Then I proceed to put my back momentarily on the ground, as if to Pin myself, while extending my leg, thus releasing my wrist in the process. BUT then as soon as the wrist is released, I bail on the Pin, and get back to Referees position as I don't want to actually get Pinned (not for wrestling, nor for MMA). This wrestling counter works well against much larger opponents, as you only move yourself, not your opponent's body. So there you go guys. You're welcomed.

and what about the legs aspect? I think Khabib used to trap 1 leg, almost like half guard, and he was pinning his opponent agaisnt the fence, so they can't walk back.

Is this clickbait or should we genuinely stop using it? It's so effective when the legs are trapped

İt wont work against dagestanis because they put pressure every where with legs, hips to hips and arm to arm like every time the guy is on top of you

There've been fights where fighters have countered the wrist ride, like Al Iaquinta, jack della maddalena.

Human body mechanics don't change whether you're from Dagestan or US or you're a black belt or a white belt. I think its just a matter of who knows to use it more efficiently.
