Man, i almost completed this sequence for the first time tonight. I got to the lunge forward and crushed his leg down. I could tell he was trapped. I looked down at his hooks and “BEEEEEP”. Time was up. Noooooooooooo!

Love it. Looking forward to the body-triangle version.

Body triangle uses the same grip breaks. But, the lunge forward is accompanied by a Granby roll that breaks the body triangle like a plastic toy.

Thanks for this. I was in a small sub only competition this past weekend and I used the principles you showed here to make a quick escape and win an overtime round. Great stuff!

Thanks again Coach. I usually do something similar except I don't put my back to the mat I try and spin to stay on top. Appreciate the wisdom 🙏

I've watched alot of back escape videos and this one has the most advanced sequences against a good opponent. All the other ones say the same stuff and i could still beat the defense with those. Thanks a bunch.

Good stuff @ 10:01 When they are on your back in the scoot forward and then post I’ve tapped out guys right there will you need to do is just grab that hand they could plant, you use your other hand to pull it in...it’s a break! Then I want to say a lot of times when I teach to scoot down also where you said that you put your weight on his leg I just grab the top of his foot my elbow goes into a pressure point right inside the calf muscle. In they tap out every time :)

A couple weeks back I watched a video of yours that basically introduced the Russian 2 on 1 and using it to the counter the collar tie. I cannot find that video anywhere now. All I can find Is the video on using it to counter wrist grabs. Did you delete it? If not do you know the title to the video I’m talking about so I can watch it again?

My son keeps getting that stupid Kimura grip on me when I start to escape. Sometimes I can drop my elbow but it means I'm going to get mounted... I'll have to try pushing his far shoulder like I saw you do at the end.

And hip escape! Get your knee in!
@SauceMario6 жыл бұрын
So as the attacker, it seems that instead of trying to follow once the leg is trapped, he would be better off pushing behind the left trap to turn you more like a turtle position. Does this seem correct? I use a similar escape pattern to this but I don't have near the insight and detail you're showing. Thanks for the great videos!

Great content. A note on production values: when you listen with a headset it sounds like the cameraman his fidgeting with his equipment, there's a bunch of small but distracting bumping noises (e.g. around 6'30).
