In basically every other KZbinr's FX video they all state you MUST have a system with hard/fast rules so you can repeat it and NEVER break the rules! (no intuition allowed!) The caveat is that they all also state that the system does not work indefinitely for a multitude of reasons at which point you have to re-engineer a new system possibly for each pair. Your non-system strategy appears to have been working consistently for 6 or more years now with slight adjustments along the way. Sticking with a few basic fundamental guidelines appears to be a much better and more consistent approach that allows for personal freedom to think and act on the go. I have been paper trading for 6+ months now and I believe I am approaching pretty decent profitability using these simple fundamental general guidelines. Thank you Nick. When I'm ready to work with my hard earned money I will be joining up with you and your courses. Keep it real that's the only we'd have it. Happy new year sir.

Wow, just mind blowing. I’m fairly new to trading only having a grand total of 5 months. Learning and trading, but December was a turning point for me. I couldn’t comprehend why everyone talks about strategies because for myself it didn’t matter if I traded SMC or S&R I would be the reason why I blew my account. My mental control would cause me to over leverage or FOMO or revenge trade. I was a sore loser, but after watching your videos I’m realizing I need to chill, I realized strategies didn’t matter this month and sticking to S&R for simplicity would be easier, than adding in your mindset, that to me is the most valuable thing is the mindset behind this. it wouldn’t matter what strategy you use, the mindset is what I needed to hear. Thank you sir because you have just helped me tremendously, now it’s up to me to implement it.

Thanks to finally trying your simple approach to trading, my account is finally sprung back from the dead, and catching up to where the balance first was a month ago. The drawdown wasn't terrible, but you could see on my Excel progress graph that I was overwhelmed by all the strategies and noise on KZbin. I should have just kept things stupidly simple and controlled risk and managed my trades properly. Cutting losing trades short, and adding to winners. That I wasn't doing at all, lol. Thanks Nick. I'm laughing at myself now for how simple trading can actually be. My confidence has skyrocketed, and when I lose, I lose small, but my winners are now on average bigger than my losses. Even after I lost a few trades in a row, I still made money on one trade.

My problem with adding to a winning trade is mostly that, if back and front stops are kept fixed, the new volume is like a new trade with worst risk X reward ratio. So even if once the price reaches that new entry point the probability of going to the gain is now higher then going for loss, that extra is diminished by a problematic inferior RxR. At the end of the day, it could have been equal (and simpler) or even more profitable to just start the trade with a heavier hand.

The one variable in your "simple" plan that you do not account for in your explanation is time. You make the statement that it's "50-50" whether the trade goes positive or negative but that implies that it is similar to a coin flip and happens instantly. With the length of time it takes for a trade to go a given distance either way it may go up a ways and when you decide to add to it it may suddenly turn and vice versa. It is not a linear path in either direction and a lot can happen, including bad decisions, along the way.

For those that wanna do this that he just did but wanna use indicators as guidance here's what you can do you'll need rsi and 3 moving averages if you could combine the rsi with the moving averages that's good the moving averages should be inside the rsi So here's your settings your rsi will be default but add these levels 90 50 mark 50 with tp 100 10 80 20 35 and 65 Your moving averages should setup 5 10 and 25 5 set to blue 10 set to yellow and 25 set to red take shorts at 90 tp at 50 and longs at 10 tp 50

Do this on pairs with very low spreads if possible so only trade a few currency pairs with low spreads you don't need to trade every single pair

Man it took me 4 years to learn this all that double top, wedge, stuff never sense to me. I follow the trend and trade support and resistance that’s where my success came from

You are hilarious. I trade futures but learning a lot from this still. I'm learning to depend strictly on price action; how a candle closes. If it weakens, I'm out. And not trading against a bullish or bearish trend like a moron. I will try to have the balls to add as well to winners, thanks.

Lesson: Trading requires good intuition which comes from experience. It all boils down to discretionary approach rooting from experience in having simple trading rules, and applying applying risk management. Conclusion: study hard about trading concepts, but practice harder. Also this video is not for beginner. If you're a beginner, you won't have a good discretionary approach because you don't have the experience yet, so stick to trading a mechanical strategy first, which is kinda not the point of the title.

Man you are on Fire! Your trading methodology is on point, but I have to ask, your intuition, your know how and how you arrived to this awesomely simple "strategy"... would you say, technical analysis, chart and candle patterns, waigu smart money concepts, ict... helped hone your intuition? Like, is it something we would all have to go through or learn to know or feel when to add to trades or stop before too much draw down. I started trading about a year ago, your content has been the bomb and I will be joining your close friends once I make the money trading. I first found you on the Trading Nut podcast, and you had a shift from your first appearance vs your following interviews which brings up my question. and hey, Thank you for sharing all this stuff!

You are giving an example of intuitive trading. This is a level that is usually not available to novice traders. But it is definitely a goal to work towards. For novice-intermediate traders mechanical approach is better.

I’ve backtested and live tested my strategy and it works. It took 2 years to build the strategy and there’s some intuition involved but it works for me.

An example of a strat that i think never could work consistently, but might have some uses; using moving average crosses for entries and exits. Its a good way to objectively determine a change in trend. But you are missing a lot of the price action (you are missing the tops and bottoms), and it still can give false signals. I think logically, ir will beat the market sometimes, but sometimes you will lose more, or make less, than holding. But even though just literally trading those crosses wouldnr work consistently in my opinion, i think a person could use that as a starting point for a strategy. Maybe after a bullish cross, you buy in at a 2% pullback or something. Maybe if you adjust it, it could work somehow. I decide on entries and exists a little fifferently every time myself; idk if this is best. And i dont use ma crosses; just an example.

I'm also basically just a monkey who is self aware. And the monkey might lose less money trading than I did in the beginning. Still not profitable necessarily, but I'm not bleeding money consistently now.

2 years trading. ONE TRUTH. Stop Loss is the damn antagonist that keeps making losers. "Manage Size and Deck Smart". "Turn OFF all indicators". "Just draw supports and resistances". That's it!

If you think about it, if there was a 100% profitable trader, that trader would be growing his account beyond imagination sucking up all the money in the world like he was a black hole of money. But you don't see that because it doesn't exist. Something prevents that from happening like a law of nature. Or perhaps once they have "enough" money they stop doing it because they don't have to anymore.
