8:00 there was a video on Discovery channel about lady working in a zoo studying behavior of the monkeys. Day by day she was watching them and recording everything what they were doing etc. One day she was writing something in her computer and on the background she heard monkeys were making unusual noise. Once she heard those noises she said to herself "Oh, today there are grapes for the lunch" , she looked into the room where employe of the zoo brought them food and it was those grapes, and she was like "Oh wow how did I know that it will grapes?" - later she realized that her brain connected sounds which monkeys make when they see different types of the foods while they are fed. Same here, lol, you have to watch those charts day and night in order to understand where the price is going.and only then you know when its time to buy or sell, and yes there are no textbooks on this ... ))

I really like Nick's content. I discovered him a few weeks ago and love the simple approach. I'd categorize myself as a frustrated trader. I'm just going to paper trade for awhile, then start again with real money when I get the hang of it. I can tell Nick wasn't feeling great for the vid (some coughing and sensitive eye stuff) but he did it anyway. Kudos. You're generous with your info and don't ask anything in return. I suppose you look at this as a way of paying it forward. Thanks man.

Another great video, Nick! I know you have mentioned how you worked essentially minimum wage jobs and lost money initially trading. Can you share what the transition was like for you going from losing to winning trader? Did you get some money to start? Or did you manage to take a smaller account and grow it? Did you just have some "lucky" runs to bulk up your account and then use your experience/knowledge to continue?

I was able to remain afloat in the market and build my portfolio to around 65% since January by copying trades from a financial expert. In a matter of months, I was also able to achieve a net profit of over $650K by trading equities and certain ETFs. If you're a novice, you ought to think about exploring that choice. That's always a safer option.

I spent a considerable amount of time searching for a good strategy before delving into Forex (FX), and I believe this is the most logical and straightforward approach (from my perspective as a software engineer). Similar to programming, the most elegant solution to a problem is often the simplest one, but achieving that requires a wealth of experience and practice. I think Nick has already experimented with different market approaches, and it makes sense for us not to waste time trying to decipher the erratic movements of prices. It's all about consistency and probability...

Checking my journal, I'm 273 trades in, since april this year. Mix of demo and real. Currently real. I can't quantify exactly what looks like a trade worth taking, but through repetition and practise I see them at least sometimes now. Lowering the amount risked was also very big. Be honest with yourself what an 'emotional' amount is. It doesn't matter if that makes your wins less exciting. You don't deserve exciting wins yet lol. My biggest problem currently is being too risk averse and getting out too early, but that's a good problem to have. It also keeps me out of trouble a lot. Although, when it's time to degen. I like a little news trading. Small account and just bet it all. Either you get margin called at a meagre percent and you blow the account, or it moons and you might more than double the account. Or it was fake news and nothing happens. Risk controlled degenning.

You are able to control risk by entering hedges and your probably the best in the business. This is extremely an advanced form of trading and absolutely essential based in watching you when your wrong. Can you make a video and expand on appropriately using a broker to hedge.

Imagine doing this (forex trading) for double digit years (+) and never having withdrawn one red cent from the market?. Trust me, that's what you call frustrating. @@Patso65 One of the major things that I had to get to a profitable state was solely focusing on one strategy and getting rid of everything else that was causing distraction. So I found something that was comfortable with very similar to Nick's strategy, and then I wiped out every other group and trading community that I was in. I even muted Nick's free telegram channel and everything and I spent a month just digging in to trading my way. I don't know if you've done something like that, if you haven't, perhaps that's your next step. I do hope you join the profitability side though, especially with all the time and effort you've put into it. I wish you the best!

Why don’t you hedge anymore? It was such a huge part of your trading. What was the revelation that you had that caused you to stop? If you’ve explained this already could you link the explanation? It would be really helpful to know what caused the shift. Thanks!

@DjRen-z2x Жыл бұрын
He's explained it before, essentially he liked hedging but got frustrated whenever price would shoot straight upwards or downwards, giving him big losses and wiping out weeks of profit. But his new method of 1:1 RR and adding to winners and cutting losers short is his preferred method now because he turns the weakness of hedging, into a strength that gives him more profit.
@justindavis6574 Жыл бұрын
@@DjRen-z2x interesting. It takes a very strong mentality to be able to flip to a different method and stay successful. I wish he would elaborate more on this specifically. Thanks for the general idea though.
