OMG! I have to say, Rachel is a true superstar as the show's host. It's impressive to see her hold down the fort on her own, commanding the attention of the audience with her confident and engaging presence. Even when she's co-hosting, Rachel stands out by her ability to strike a balance between leading the conversation and giving her co-hosts enough space to share their views. Her consideration and respect for others make her an excellent collaborator, but it's clear that she's a force to be reckoned with when she takes the stage solo. I am thoroughly impressed by Rachel's performance on the show. Her expertise in finance and her relatable personality make her a leader for the personalities team once Dave steps down for good, and I'm excited to see more of her in the future.

I like Rachel but I have to disagree. I think George Kamel is the future of Ramsey (if they succeed once Dave steps down). Rachel has no personal life experience with debt recovery or financial hardship. Although she is charismatic and well spoken, she can't relate. George is knowledgeable and worked his way up from the bottom so is truly able to relate and empathize with the masses.

Grow a victory garden! Go to farms and pick your own, or go to farmers’ markets. Do a vegetable box from a farm. Raise chickens. Buy beans, rice and corn in bulk. Some of these are easy, some are hard, some require a location. Try out community gardening. If you eat meat, buy half a steer.

A huge tip that has always saved me since I was like 18 living on my own…avoid processed. Buy raw veggies, fruits, meat, nuts, & avoid the middle aisles. Your spend will drastically decrease that way. We spend $140 every 2 weeks for a family of 4 with two boys who are always hungry. About $200 on healthy snacks, bulk drinks, eggs, & freezer bulk at Costco twice a month. So around $800 for a family of 4. Processed food adds up in more ways than one 👏🏻❤

To answer her question, I like to meal plan and grocery shop once a month. I was really nervous doing it the first time because we spent on average $100 per week on groceries, but since I started doing it we actually only spend about $200 per MONTH. I make sure to “shop my pantry” first, and plan for meals where I already have a good amount of the ingredients on hand, that way I’m only buying odds and ends stuff rather than all of the ingredients for the whole meal. I also cook the meals in advance and portion every meal out into individual containers so that we can grab and go, that way the meals stretch as far as possible and I don’t have to cook during the week 💪 that saves time and money because we aren’t tempted to eat out nearly as often.

Make a menu, make a detailed list and stick to it. Quality proteins and produce are healthier and still relatively inexpensive compared to eating out. Close freshness dates are usually marked down and still safe if the product is prepared properly or frozen immediately. Collect prices from receipts, rounded up to the next dollar for simplicity and margin. Make your list on a spreadsheet with a talley. You can either print it out or access through your cloud. Stay with it and you should be within your budget.
