I love this man's take on the Filipino culture and languages. Some great insights on Filipinos and why they are so multi talented. It makes so much sense. And, I especially liked when he said "you will have no difficulty learning anything if you are doing it in a spirit of play!" This is a good thing to remember when we want to learn something new, whether it be a language, a physical skill, a mental skill, or whatever. It will always be easier to learn if it is done as play. Thanks for highlighting this video, Nelly!❤ Aloha at Mabuhay!🤙

I remember a competition among southeast Asian athletes . There were two competitors vying for the first spot in rowing. One was a Filipino. The other was from another country. They were equally matched. For some unknown reason, the other competitor fell off his boat and was struggling. The Filipino abandoned his boat, swam towards the 0other kid and saved him thus forfeiting the medal for that game. This is a very good example of the caring nature of Filipinos... ( tulungan.... malasakit...pakikipagkapwa...)

This is a tear-jerking informative and inspiring video, Nelly. Even I, a Filipino am reminded of this lost culture. I see this in our society way back the 80s and 90s. It is sad to sa that in most places, especially in the urban society here in the Philippines is already a lost language. We have been so influenced by the western world and by social media that changed our youth's paradigm, moral, culture, manners, and even spirituality. I hope this world can bring back the old good values and pass them on to the next generation and so. We are one world. We are one people.

I am a Filipino and very proud of it because our culture so beautiful before we invade other countries like Spain etc.. Thanks to the beautiful lady that somehow want to know the Filipino history... I think this country was in the Bible history... The name "ophir" was referred to the pearl of the orient seas. Pearl of the orient seas refer to the Phillipines or Las Islas de pilipinas.. Thanks to you beautiful lady and take care.., ❤❤...

This are the people we have lost, they're everywhere before, when I was a kid back in 1996-2005 all the elders was like this they know a lot about history and they're all well knowledgeable to our culture, and they've been doing their best to pass it on to the next generations, but it's sad that we have lost it, the elders from before really did their best to teach childrens, but now childrens are the one trying to teach the elders..😢

@rogeliozamora9264Ай бұрын
Or is it the other way around? Malaysians migrated to Luzon and way down south of the country; while Indonesians to the northern part. There are similarities with the Ilocano and Javanese languages. And since the early Filipinos traded with some Pacific islanders by selling products they purchased (like silk from China) could account, for example, for a similarity with Visayan and Saipan dialects in the counting of numbers.1 to 10.

The first Filipinos were black. They. migrated east from Africa. Then Taiwanese migrated south I'm told there's at least one black island left. Many Filipino blacks migrated to Australia and other islands. Then came the Spanish for over 300 years. Then came Americans for about 50 years.

There was an effort to minimize or remove the real origin/ history of the Philippines, why is that? Philippines could be the Ophir & Tarshish in the Bible before there was Taiwan or China or Africa
