I’m 25 and it’s a flat out headache trying to even have a conversation with most of the women on the apps. Even the ugly ones have narcissistic problems. The majority of women I run into on there are filled with daddy issues, pill popping mental issues or they randomly go off about their ex and how he did all this bad stuff to her. I’m at a point where I’d rather just go my own way, build my life without women in the picture at all for a long time. I’m 50, I’ve never been on a dating app, but I was on Reddit in a lonely chat. It was so sad, it was mostly filled with young men being so down ridden because they can’t meet nice girls, and the apps are brutal. I had no clue just how toxic these apps are. I always do well with ladies when I go out. But I have never had tons of success with online dating. I couldn’t figure out why. Then I realized how it all worked and got off of them. They had my confidence down. I would reach out to a 5 or 6 and wouldn’t even get responses. Shit was insane. Never again. Good stuff bro.

I agree with everything you've said here. I think online dating is about the most toxic, soul-destroying and devaluing activity a man can engage in. Most people are just on it for validation and it has given rise to some pretty awful behaviour on both sides. Trying to pass yourself off as a confident man and using a dating app is like trying pass yourself off as a world class chef and only cooking microwave meals. While online dating might be easy, convenient and readily available, it's often very disappointing. If a woman rejects you in real life, at least you can walk away safe in the knowledge you were confident enough to try and (win or lose) you still stand out from the others.

I've been off dating apps for years. I tried a few, and "maybe" met 2-3 quality gals over a period of about 1 year. I honestly prefer to meet women out in real life. I meet a lot of people (friends, gals, etc) just hanging out doing things I like to do. Do this and you'll naturally meet like minded people. If you have the balls to walk up to someone in real life, then you already have a massive advantage over other guys. Just sayin..

I love everything you say here! My girlfriend and I were on the same dating app at the same time for a while and said the same things about men that you are saying about women! It just illuminates for me how toxic dating apps are for men and women and these apps are creating a great divide between men and women IMO! I was crushed at how no guys really made any attempt to get to know me. Put me into depression! And I would try to get to know him via chatting and suddenly he would disappear. I drove 15 miles to meet a guy and when I wouldn't go home with him he got mad. I never heard from him again.. which was good. Let me tell y’all, this man is right. Life will literally pass you by, when your chasing these women and on these dating apps. I’ve had tinder, bumble, hinge, badoo, all of them since 2019.. and I’ve slept with MANY women off these apps. I’ve met good ones too, but 95% of women you meet on dating apps are either catfishes ( they look NOTHING like their pictures ), Have children, Drama, trauma, overall just damaged goods. I recently deleted all the dating apps off my phone because it’s literally a waste of time. These apps become addicting after a while, which is what the app creators are counting on, so you can continue to spend your hard earned money on Subscriptions and profile boosts, hoping you’ll get more female matches.. this is what they are counting on! Girls don’t even have to pay like we do.. it’s all setup for females to boost their ego. Girls on these apps are mad entitled. One chick got upset at me and unmatched from me because I asked her what does she bring to the table.. a lot of women on these apps are OVERWEIGHT and have the audacity to be demanding and entitled.. guys stay off these dating apps. Your self esteem will literally sky rocket. Half the girls on these apps just want attention and validation.. absolutely no intention on meeting you..a lot of them don’t even respond when you match with them.. complete waste of time. It’s pathetic swiping back and forth waiting on a match.. your wasting time. Listen to this man, STAY OFF THE DATING APPS and focus on you and the women will too, believe me!

💯 per usual Shaun. I’ve deleted the dating apps and it forces me to meet women in real life if I wanna get laid. I’m putting in the work and getting more social. Making more dude friends and meeting potential dates alike. My best tip is to go on a hike or someone where there’s a bunch of people and say hi to literally everyone. This teaches you that when the vast majority doesn’t give a fuck about you, it doesn’t impact you in any way at all and vice versa you don’t get too high if you meet a baddie. It will empower you to become the best version of yourself. Trust me!

I am a 60+ woman who has spent far too much time on these sites. It's the same for both genders. It's a colossal waste of time and energy .Really so addictive and disappointing and devastating in the end. I hate to admit how many times I was rejected, if men even showed any interest at all. Some just left me their phone number thinking I was going to call. Zero effort, no interest in my profile, to see if we had any of the same interests and compatibility. I initiated many times but men don't even bother to read my message. How humiliating is that?? Men seem to be looking for 'a good' time, especially with much younger ladies, not serious companionship, with women of their own age, who are attractive, independent, active, have alot of life experience to share but nobody's interested in us. Many don't even post a photo, or a blurry one, from twenty years ago, even in my age group! It's a minefield and not for the fainthearted.I got stood up plenty of times, men were arrogant and belligerent towards me, thinking they had it all sewn up, thinking women are desperate. Only recently got off, for good. It's hard cause there are not alot of ways to meet in person ,especially as we age. It's a two way street, on both sides.
