Stop Using Two-Handed Signals- Scuba Diving Hand Signals

We had a request to make this video so here are some more signals we can use in scuba diving using one hand.

one hand signals are super useful... in sidemount however I would refer to the average pressure of both cylinders, more info is not needed

I haven't Dove for a long time. Sounds like he is using metric terms for how much air is left? How wide spread is metric being used in diving now?

Metric is used everywhere except in the United States. I (the person in the video) am American and I use metric because it is easier than Imperial for the math and just makes more sense. But it doesn't matter if you use Imperial or Metric when signaling as long as you and your buddy are on the same page.

Even diving with technical divers trained in different agencies i never seen some variations of the signals (HOw much gas, shake hand for cylinder, time). Are these from Raid agency standards, common in your location or your personal inventions? And the middle finger is commonly accepted or is rude in some locations?

These are not from RAID. The arm shake in sidemount is something I picked up from someone else. How much gas and time are both signals that are common in the crowd I have been diving with around the world. As for the middle finger, it is pretty accepted except for in regions where that is considered extremely rude and even illegal. In the United Arab Emirates we would use that but if Emiratis were around, we would not so as not to offend them. This is the reason when diving with anyone knew, you should always go over the hand signals you use and find out what they use so you can then decide on how you can best communicate underwater.
