My advice is since all these manufacturers produce so many models for every year, keep an eye out on last year's high end model. Once the new ones come out they'll start clearing out older stock for much cheaper price. I got my Dreame X30 ultra for a steal. I waited about 4 months. Couldn't be happier.

Have you considered the dreame l10s pro ultra? It seems to have all the flagship features of a vacuum yet it's under 500 right now on their website with a coupon

We haven't tested the L10 yet, but Dreame robots are very good in general.

Guys what do you think about the Mova E30 (by Dreame)? I see it's a newer model so I can't really find comparable reviews on it. I personally don't want to take the risk of it having problems, and I don't really need mopping features although it's a bit higher price than the Roborock Q5/Q8. So my pick would probably be the Roborock Q8 Max+ as it's 60€ more than the Q5 max+ in my country, for that obstacle avoidance. I know it's not the best at it, but I am confident that it's the simplest and therefore most stress free. And hopefully it will avoid the bad cable management behind my TV stand at least.

Doesn't have a camera though, which is the best obstacle avoidance tech rn, along with lidar. Roomba j7+ does and it's $235 refurbished with 2 yr warranty

X10 does have a camera, which is why the navigation is so good. It’s not user accessible though.

Personally I want cameras for obstacle avoidance The best brush if you've got pets is perhaps the one on the Narwhal Freo robot. That anti tangle brush actually works but it doesn't have a camera which is a big issue especially if you've got a pet that makes an accident, and the robot spreads said accident across the floor If it wasn't for that, I think the Freo would be best for people with pets, not because it stands out in any other way but the brush technology is one where it means that your robot isn't constantly filled with dog hair which means constantly messing about with the roller brush and removing said hair So in that sense, it would be worth it but as you say, cameras are greedy for navigation

i just had it, it was useless. I paid 500.00 more for the x40 and its 100% better... but still lacking. I am waiting the amazon 60 day xmas return and then getting the x50 coming q1 2025.... I have 3 partitions in my home with higher edges. It drains 10% battery trying to get over these so takes almost 1.5 hours to clean my 800sf home. Its not super quiet and I have to babysit is a bit it misses things so I have to tell it to go over it a few times. It misses around the edges.. i have to tell it to focus. The x50 says its much quieter, and it goes over these areas much better. The mopping was a nightmare in ls10 because the mops do not come high enough for the carpets so it just drags dirty water after its done mopping. The mopping on the x40 is MUCH improved and I don't have this issue with the x40. I think the efficiency in general could be much improved and the app as well. The only location that makes sense for it currently is a carpeted area.. I realize the wet mopping on carpet issue with ls10 is a me issue not necessarily the robots fault. They are ALMOST there with me. I'm really looking forward to the x50. Anyways.. if I am a poor writer and that was confusing I am sorry. My summary is get the x40 if you need something NOW its nice.. the ls10 was a frustrating waste of time and I am happy with the x40 but will upgrade to x50 asap.

Roomba J7+ is $235 on eBay rn. Refurbished with 2 year warranty... Hard to beat. I've tried two eufys and they lack cameras which is what caused a pooptastrophe in my condo with mostly carpet. A camera is absolutely essential if your pet has an accident. It just takes one time. GET. THE. CAMERA. MODEL Edit: either a camera or dtof sensors. Dtof seems to be more reliable. The Deebot N10 Max+ is literally $145 on sale rn refurbished

I have two Eufy S1 pros I've got one for the kitchen and one for the living room BUT I'm lucky enough to be able to afford them and to be able to give a Roborock S7 MaxV ultra to my mum I want a tiny one for my bathroom and cloak room too but I don't like the switchbot k10+ purely because the mopping is a bit lack lustre

Of course there are trade offs to buying a cheaper robot. If you want S tier you have to pay or wait till it’s at a discount. This was mentioned in the video.

Depends on what you want. The x40 is better for carpets. The S1 pro for hard floors imo If you've got a mixture of both I'd go with the x40 though Or you do what I do and have one robot per room which is arguably not necessary
