His business is your money, not game development.
Streaming on the software development category is a total sham, as long as his streams deal with talking to viewers and browsing the web more than working creatively on game development.
Of course streamers rely on donations to survive, it's their business. If he really developed games, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with him. if he moved over to "just talking" and stopped pretending to develop his game, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with him. The problem is with his lies and manipulation of gullible cultists.

Edit: Also, how to you bash another creator for interacting with his community instead of developing his game (he does that while talking, multitasking), and worrying about making money (gotta put food on the table), then proceed to plug your game in the description? Nothing wrong with plugging your game, just pointing out the hypocrisy here. I can tell you made this video entirely for engagement clicks and not because you actually care.

1. This is his job. 2. Acknowledging donations helps prevent false charge backs. 3. He gives genuinely good life advice as well as tips on game development. 4. The prolonged boughts of silence are not helping your point. If your going to be salty at least put some effort into it.

Most things you complain about apply to streamers in general, why'd you pick out this guy to hate on? He seems like such a nice dude. People not only hang around him because of the game dev'ing, if only that part is valuable to you and you think everything else is a waste of time, then you don't like it and his content is not for you. But that's just your taste, a lot of other people enjoy it, because different people like different things.

I like his content and Ive never really felt like I needed to donate money to anyone. I dont care if he worked at Blizzard or made a simple 2D game that took him long time to make. He knows how to talk, program, just let him be. and it actually inspires me to do something productive on my own when I watch his videos (even though Im not a game developer). I really dont care if he streams more than develops his own games, I just think that it is unnecessary to even talk about it like it is something bad and that he shouldnt be calling himself game developer. I can see that you yourself are making a game, good luck with that, hope it goes well, but why get mad over someone else just because they make games just like you. Its not like you are both in some kind of clan or guild and he is making it look bad in your eyes. (hope this comment made sense, I dont really speak English)

2D games being simple and quick to develop is just factually wrong. Undertale took 2 years to develop because, relatively, it is a much simpler game code-wise, as well as in art assets. A better comparison would be Knuckle Sandwich, a game that took 5 years to develop, as it is a longer game, with more assets. He provides plenty of good info on game dev, like with his website, something that I cannot say for other streamers. Maybe you should follow your own advise and just make games instead of 5 minute hit pieces on things that don't matter. "lies and manipulation of gullible cultists" this made me chuckle, is this really that serious? I don't think it's a good idea for you, as someone trying to be a game dev, to stir up meaningless drama like this. It may be easy attention, but I'm not of the belief that all publicity is good publicity. Also the irony of you advertising your game in the description and throughout the channel is not lost on me.
