HELP!!!! I have an issue with my batteries being overcharged and I don’t know how to fix the problem. I have 2, 12 volt 100 aph batteries and a 250 watt solar panel and I’m using the Epever 20 Solar Controller with the MT50 Remote Meter and a 2500 watt inverter. I only have my dorm size fridge/freezer running on it constantly and charge my phones and use to charge lights when needed ( I live in my van). I am no where near the person that helped me install the system and I can’t find anything on KZbin that shows me how to fix this problem. I am assuming I can change some settings like you are doing here in this video but this is all over my head when I try to read how to do it. I’m a visual learner 😅😬 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi Sam, One of my lithium batteries isn’t working properly and I hope you can help. When I turn it on and hit the rest it goes on and shuts right off. If I hold in the reset button it turns on and the volt is erratic. When I release it again it goes off? Any ideas?

first question is.. what is a ecotrek lithium battery? maybe a link to another video in the description with the why's and wherefors and such?

Ecotrek is a 200 amp-hour lithium battery with integrated BMS. Its custom to roadtrek and hymer Canada RVs. The best answer is if your RV doesn't have ecotreks then don't install them

@@suiethacks4740 this may be a stupid question, but if it has a BMS how can it be over charged by solar? or is it a terrible BMS system? ohhh wait, I recall this for extreme cold, that makes sense I guess. I wonder if there is any BMS that accounts for cold? hmm a quick search indicates there are such BMS system. but most consumers wouldn't think of asking such a question I guess. thanks for the reply and education.

Hi Sam, Just a question on jump starting the electrical system. I read your directions but didn't read anything about the negative cable's. I'm assuming I hook them up also?

i just got the epever 4215 and im using walmart deep cycl. batter 12v 100 ah led acid and help with the setting for this batters any one

Very interesting, i just bought a 2019 Zion srt and the lithium batteries keep shutting down and the volt start kicks on when the batteries are full. So maybe this will help?

Have you resolved the issue? My lithium batteries are dead also and will only come on when I'm plugged into shore piwer snd hold in the reset button for 20 seconds or so. As soon as I let go of reset they go off.

@@Lracnolip Looks like I need new batteries and need to have it rewired. Problem is these repair shops want 500 in labor to do it. I'm looking on Facebook for help so we'll see.

What is the purpose of disconnecting the batteries from the solar charger?

What happens if power is cut for a period. Do you have to run through the settings again or does it save?

Nothing bad happens but you have to start again.

People are not considering the setting of their BMS ,in connection to the controller settings. the instructions of the controller say your battery can not shut down "before" the controller shuts down. The sun could be pumping amps into a battery BUT then a high or low cell shuts down the battery that was absorbing all that power, and it gets "absorbed" by the solar controller that can't. my inverter/charger and the solar controller ALL say " never disconnect battery while in use" first guy to figure out how to prevent low /high cell shutdown ruining everything else, wins a free thank you. meanwhile. back to my lead acid.
