there's a trend, especially on the internet, of people thinking that it's terrible to be wrong, therefore admitting you're wrong means you're admitting to be a terrible person. a fragile sense of self can be attributed to much of our destructive behaviour.
@vinito193 жыл бұрын
"You're right. I apologize." Said with actual regret because he felt like a fool and instead of lashing out he took it in the chin. Well done my man. 1st for actually looking it up and 2nd for realizing you did make a mistake. Kudos to you, wherever you are.

It's disappointing how often the ones who start arguing ask where else they're supposed to park, as if that has any relevance as to whether they're allowed to drive on a sidewalk. In the unlikely event that they genuinely can't find anywhere to park, they ought to consider using public transit or riding a bicycle or a motorcycle for the first time in their lives. It's the prevalence of this exact mentality that causes the lack of parking spots in cities.
@Isnogood123 жыл бұрын
It might also just be a shock response to not being able to park where they're used to. Breaking someone's routine can confuse them something fierce. Usually the SADB crew has been very nice and offered a place where to park somewhere nearby.

insecure people judge self-worth by many indicators, intelligence being one of them. someone made them feel bad about their level of intelligence (likely as a child) so they believe all people should value it similarly. humans everywhere are failing to inspire their children, instead choosing to practice shame (if you're lucky). I hope that parents forced to spend time with their children due to recent quarantines have noticed the value of inspiration over shame.

8:00 Let's not laugh how stupid that was. Actually most people do not seem to know that laws are often written in such a way and have to be read until the very end. At our airfield one rule reads kind of like "Between 12:00 and 15:00 takeoffs and landings are prohibited" and you could just say "Oh damnit! And fly later" but reading on you will find other things like "unless the aircraft complies with certain noise criteria" and "unless the flight will last at least 60 minutes and will end on a different airfield" so basically MOST flights are still legal. Don't be too lazy to read the whole thing!
@maifantasia36503 жыл бұрын
In the high school I attended, to teach and enforce the correct method of reading and understanding documents, in English class all students were handed a form to fill out. At the top of the form it noted that the entire questionnaire should be read prior to commencing. Just below that was a space for the student to write their name and the date. The form had approximately 20 questions, with spaces to provide the answers to the questions. At the very bottom of the form, in small text, was the most important note, "Do not write on this paper!" All students, at the very least, wrote their name and filled in the date. Several students did write answers to the questions. Bottom line, every student failed the 'test.' The outcome is that I have never forgotten it.
@rainerzufall6893 жыл бұрын
@@maifantasia3650 Well, if the form looked like it should be filled out, by having lines to write on I would also like to hear the explanation why such ambiguous signals are used as it seems to have no use but bullying people around. If there is just space there has to be an answer to that space as well. Because in a normal text there is no space. Providing the space is an attempt to deliberately fool people which is of no use at all. Even the text above I mentioned should list the most common case first and in the same sentence say something like "PROVIDED (certain criteria are met)". It should be the same sentence to make sure everyone understands that he has to read everything. Probably it is often done the other was around to prevent people that don't read a lot from doing anything but let's be honest: The people that disregard the rules don't even bother reading any documents at all. They just make up their own rules.
@maifantasia36503 жыл бұрын
@@rainerzufall689 - as per the very first instruction, read the form before commencing. Nothing to do with bullying. Teaching how to understand and follow simple instructions. We all got a laugh out of it and learned something, at the same time.
@Isnogood123 жыл бұрын
@@maifantasia3650 Hehe, we had that same thing done to us in Junior High. It was also a lesson about group mentality, as it had some instructions that told us to do something physical, like "go take a hand paper from near the sink" so when someone did it, everyone else assumed it was what we should do and followed suit. After that, I've always read anything put infront of me through first before signing anything. Good lesson that I still remember 25 years later!

From what I understand they can not be sued for property damage since the stickers are so easy to take of and are categorized as "Written complaint". Harder to peel stickers might be trouble if someone tries to sue them for damage since they can't fall back on it just being a written complaint to the driver.
