@11:08 - Confounding that the female investigator moved out of the way the Nissan SUV driving on the sidewalk. It's as if so many people have been acculturated to accept this is normal that they meekly move. 'Sorry for impeding your way, driver.' Even police officers. @JohnDoe-bd5sz3 жыл бұрын
The fine for driving on the pavement in Russia is cheap, especially for someone that is rich. Driving on the pavement in my country would be a big fine, points on your license and if you drove into people like we see here, the minimum penalty would be a visit in a courtroom, where the judge would probably take your license away and if it was crazy enough, what you did, they would also confiscate your car, sell it and you would not get the money from the sale. I am guessing here but maybe the fact that your would risk a large fine, points on your license and/or to lose your license and even your car, has something to do with why driving on the pavement is not a problem at all here.

I know a Russian man just won one for his work trying to express his opinion in freedom of speech and press which does get censored severely and brutally in other countries. So that makes me curious as to specific examples of criminals you claim to win this prize. Most of these people are non violent and only work towards the betterment of the world and basic human rights.. I can see that being aggressive if say you belong to a certain socialist party originating in the 30s and 40s in Germany. However in my research of these people they are simply wanting to be treated like people not cattle they want happiness not combat and they often risk their lives so others can be free. In Russia, or everywhere for that matter, punitive fines should be based on income. A fine should hurt everyone equally.
@JohnDoe-bd5sz3 жыл бұрын
Sorry i dont agree. A fine should be fixed price, same punishment for the same crime. Should a gallon of milk also have a different price based on your income. ? The fine should be raised considerably, and then they should do like in my country. Make a system with points and if you get enough points you lose your license or have to retake the license. There are people that dont care about the money, but if they risk losing their license and having to retake it, this is what they fear to be honest. Here it's 3 points and you need to retake you license within 6 months.....2 years probation, if you get another 3 points you lose your license alltogether for atleast 6 months and need to retake it. Points are given for example if you do more than 30% over the speed limit, if you run a red light, if you are caught using your mobile device while driving, overtaking on the right on dual lane roads, tailgating, If you drive in the breakdown lane on the motorway for example to bypass traffic, if you have kids age 15 or younger without a seatbelt, not yielding at a STOP sign, if you overtake on double solid lines, Overtaking where there is a pedestrian crossing, if you drive the wrong way on a one way street, if you cross the train tracks at a crossing, when signals indicate you should stop, and so on. If you speed 60% more than the limit, you get 3 points at one time, and if you speed more than 100%, you get a driving ban, and the car is seized and sold....And yes, this also applies to rental cars, leased cars or your car, if your neighbor loans it and speeds 100% above the limit.
@m0shtik3 жыл бұрын
point system solves this perfectly. They should do it in russia
@DemosIoannou3 жыл бұрын
@@JohnDoe-bd5sz you cant have points for every infraction . or you need to have to increase the point limit . like in my country we have 12point system over 1 or 2 years (i am not sure) . at 12 you lose it. DUI is instantly 3 points, with arrest to appear in court . which probably will give more points. seatbelts or mobile phone use are 3 points plus fine . speed fines are according to your speed and only in extreme cases is arrest to appear in court. how much points shall someone lose if he parks on sidewalk (is not like russian ones , half car in road half on sidewalk) people in wheelchair cant pass and thus cant use the sidewalk ? or in handicapped parking spot ?
@BradenENelson3 жыл бұрын
@@JohnDoe-bd5sz What's the point of a fine, if not to punish and correct abhorrent behavior? Now how corrective will that fine be to someone making 10x or 100x the next guy? ... Not much. A catastrophe for one, a piddling inconvenience for another. One will think twice, the other could care less. Incarceration is equal, in that it takes equal time away from rich and poor alike. Why should fines take more percentage of a person's wealth than another?

Maybe in the future the person in front of the car should have an opened paintcan with 5 liters of paint held up in front of them. Run into them, and they will surely drop the paint onto your car, and it will be hard to claim that it was anyone's fault but their own. That or get old "worthless" bicycles and have in front of them, so that if they drive forward, they will hit the bikes and dent their cars. I saw an episode years ago, where they did this and some idiot in a really expensive luxury car, dented up the front of his car pretty good.

@@JohnDoe-bd5sz Yep, that's another idea. We have Cycling Mikey in the UK doing Gandalfing at Gandalf corner. Now another option is to do that in full Gandalf gear.
