Biar isnt available in the main game yet but is playable in PBE (public beta environment), a version of League of Legends where Riot releases new champions and updates to the public before they put them in the main game to balance them and make sure they arent too strong and stuff. They actually just made her do less damage and heal a little less cause she was super strong

So if you didn't know, the first long part where it felt like it was the same lines over an over was an interactive teaser for her. You clicked around on the screen and it adds more to the story, I think the video just wanted to show all the interactions without missing anything for everyone.

I stopped playing League just after Bel'Veth was released, so I'm sure there were a fair few champions I missed and have no idea about. But thanks to your reactions to Briar and whoever the previous person was (I totally forgot the name), I'm learning about the new champions again. It almost makes me want to start playing League again. Almost. Briar is the type of champion I used to get really excited about when I still played. I played all the champions, but most new releases were just "Oh, that's cool. Looking forward to trying them out." But for some reason, the unbalanced, chaotic, cute, or just weird champions actually really excited me. Jinx, Kled, Zoe, Neeko, Briar, etc. They may not be as integral to the lore or as serious in tone, but they're really amusing. And that's enough for me! Hope that you're feeling better soon, if you aren't already. Please take care of yourself! ✌🤓

naafiri is in both the beta and in live servers, last time i checked briar is not in the beta yet, and considering beta gets updates around 2 weeks before live servers, briar will probably be on live servers within 20-25 days since they revealed all her abilities and her trailer

5:47 yes it was interactive, parts of this happened on the login screen and it would progress over some days, you could click and make things happen. It was kind of a cool reveal... or would have had she not gotten leaked about a week or two prior, then it continues right into the intro video.

Briar is first champion in almost a year with actually good lore. For some time I thought that she has the same VA as Jinx in Arcane but I was wrong, but the VA's performance is just outstanding. Get well soon

Yea the Jinx sound/personality is way too similar. Should've gone for someone with either a raspier voice like Rebecca from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners or a more childlike/gremlin voice, just since Jinx and Briar share so many other similarities

Prob already explained, but Black Rose is an orginazion that uses dark magics, and used those methods to create a bloodthirty young assasin that dosent need normal meals and is a compulsive killer. Also went a lil mas from solitary confinement.

Jinx is voiced by Sarah Anne Williams. Briar`s voiced by Julie Nathanson. It`s just villainous and more anti-villain type champions tend to have that evil valleygirl type voice.

I would see them later once Ola has worked her way through League lore and the alternate universes. So doing a 180 turn towards Arcane then. Seems we will have a lot of time to fill in 2024 (hopefully with teasers and trailers for A2). I love TBs videos, but for reaction material they may be a little long though (esp the animation breakdowns). Still it is brilliant stuff and in case it will not make it for a reaction Ola should give it try on her own at least .👍

@@StopMeOh It's never fun to have a character that feels too close to another character. The League of Legends world feels alive because of the differences between locations and characters. But if 2 characters are similar, like Briar and Jinx, it feels disappoint because that sense of uniqueness isn't there. And it made it even worse when Briar's voice and teaser also shared a strong resemblance to Jinx. There's nothing wrong with Briar, I'm personally very excited to play her, just a bit sad she has these hangups.

I believe the Chinese leak actually said 'Winter 2024' (was mistranslated as Q4). Which could mean anything from January to March '24, or December '24.
