Hi Eric been following scooter van trips for a while I took my Vespa GT 200 on a rack on rear of a transit camper to Italy this year to a Vespa rally.I got escorted off Mway to police station by Swiss police so they could weigh it big led sign on the back "follow me" .Luckily I was way under weight so they sent me off wished me a nice holiday .I've gradually down sized in cc's and weight and taking with the van wife can come and we can be comfy and she enjoys it as long as not too many miles involved .It works out as cheap for 2 as me going on my own we can self cater and sleep in van and that out weighs extra fuel costs and we both have a holiday together.

If your car has day time running lights in the front, that's fine - all you need. If it doesn't have them you must turn on your headlights. :-) It's as simple as that. Many Swiss have been upgrading their "older" cars with aftermarket day time running lights. LED rules :-)

Yes u need to buy a vinett or whatever it is if u drive on the motorways in Switzerland unless they have changed it, didn't bother to check before I left.
