This is the only Excelerate TSX Big Brake Kit retrofitted onto a 9th Gen Honda Civic Si on KZbin so when my homie hit me up to film it I knew I had to make a video on it! Because he already has FBO and a tune for his 2013 Honda Civic Si, the main aspects he's focusing on improving are the brake system, suspension and his driver mod. Just my observation, I think you have installed the wrong rotor on the wrong side of the car as the grooves in the rotor should lean away from the brake calliper in your installation video your grooves are leaning into the brake calliper, another no, no is the fact you should not have to hammer fit your brake pads into the brake calliper housing as you are going to have nothing but rubbing and that in turn will slow your car down and bur excess brake pad real estate so they wear after. Correct me on this analysis if I am wrong then I apologise to you for the misinformation. Nice brake kit by the way I will upgrading to A BBK myself next year when funds allow i'll be going for floating rotors.

The BBK is installed correctly, as for the brake pads sometimes they aren't completely flush. Many other people who have installed this set up report the same thing on the forums

Definitely not. You’d need at least a 20-25mm spacer in the front to clear these calipers with the stock wheels

Not at all lots of mistakes. For one no need to grease the pins the parts that need to be greased is actually the back of the pad it’s self cause it’s metal to metal. Pin are place holders. Two when bleeding breaks if you trying to take air out the bottle should have fluid in it and tube in the fluid so that no air travels back in. And when your refilling it empty out the rear break fluid that’s a waste brake fluid is hydroscoptic so putting dot 4 to improve viscosity to option higher break heat was a waste might have as well put back the same fluid you took out. But pointers when you post for newbies that need to do it correctly for the future. And there’s no difference between 4 piston or one piston it all show no go you can achieve greater breaks with just pads and rotors break lines and dot 4 all you need honestly. So yea a pound that you save is doing absolutely nothing.

I wouldn’t take advise from this guy for one greased wrong part two rotors are on the wrong side three doesn’t know how to bleed breaks. Honestly following guys who want to be cool instead of informing you on how to put on bbk correctly they are going to get someone hurt.

Buy FastBrake adapters, Acura RL / JDM Honda legend Calipers, Nissan 350Z rotors. That’s what I did an it’s beautiful

Yes, but you’d need to upgrade to a TL Type S brake master cylinder or else your pedal will feel super soft. People run TSX rotors/calipers in the front on 8th gens all the time

Nope. These are 1 piece rotors with non-directional cooling vanes, so the directions the exterior slots are facing dont matter.

Let me learn you something. Bigger brakes and rotors doesn’t make the car stop faster. Has nothing to do with pressure or clamping force. It’s about heat transfer. Soooo unless you’re racing on an actual track… it’s only good for aesthetics.
