Yes. It would have been an outrageous risk to bit that high. Specialy when going against that other guy who wasn't even taking a risk as he already had a buyer and "carte blanche" to spend on it. You can't win against that.

$24,000 is a decent price to take to car shows or to take to storage auctions for the pure enjoyment of owning the car.

Cool Car. Public auctions are one of the most expensive places to buy cars especially if you are trying to flip it. Word of mouth and Facebook marketplace are the best place to find hidden gems when it comes to cars.

Know this much about car repair and restoration that the car would cost a lot to restore and then the gamble of selling after restoration. Walking away was smart! Watching how fast the prices jumped and getting over $20,000 was mind blowing

When we were living in Germany 1983 my dad had purchased a Alfa Romeo gtv6 it was black on black that car ended up getting hijacked and stolen off of the boat so a couple months later a gunmetal gray Alfa Romeo gtb6 was its replacement I loved that car man great fine guys always love your content.

LOL, Beverly Hills Car Club is about as far from Beverly Hills as you can get. It's located in East LA and is known for flipping the worst of the worst Porsches and European autos. That Alfa they have for sale at 12K is about the nicest car they've ever seen in there.

You should have bought it if it didn't go much higher however you do well off comics and cards 28000 would buy alot of collectables if I bought the car I would restore and keep for future investment your choice

Next deal, it sucks you wasted a day but tying up that much capital on something that's not a quick flip has little upside and lots of downside. Your in for 60k after restoration, you could knock of 20 3k lockers and have your 100k way faster with inventory left if you pick the right ones

@Mike Maes if you have unlimited capital then yes. 99.9% don't have the luxury of tying up 60k on a single deal that may sit and wait foe the right buyer

move on to the next deal less headaches, as a private buyer you will put in more money than someone who owns a restoration business. You buy it for 29,000 .. put in another 30 or 40 then hope to get 100k

It is not a veloce, but a normale. If it is an original paint, matching number, low milage, rustfree, one owner car it might be worth is, but i think it is a bit on the high side.

Great video....interesting content and interesting characters! A benefactor bought it? It won’t go for resale, atleast I doubt it. The buyer will have it fully restored and drive it once in a blue moon. Most of the time it will sit in his garage with a bunch of other collectors vintage vehicles.

Hey Rene and Casey, been watching you since you broke in on Storage Wars, I tinker with restorations, but not foreign, 2 things I look at after general body exterior is interior condition, as in seats, carpet, floor pan, headliner and so forth, then will the engine turn over by hand, like grabbing the fan, flywheel or a belt, and try to make it all turn. Now the suspect here is it was likely parked or driven into that locker. Interior looked reasonably good because it was under cover for so long, but I would say rubber seals everywhere on it would need replacing, that begs the question of parts availability. I would guess even at 25K was a good deal, but when you have a bidder with unlimited funds, so to speak, all you can do is bid them up. Nice Video ya'll enjoyed it. From the great S.E. US see yas
