SP!- powerful narrative. Same thing happening here with TSA, DOT and county DWI check points. I have not had a drink in two decades, When a county cop stuck his big nose in the cab of my private truck (to smell dope) I blew my cheap cigar smoke in his face and said, ”As long as chocolate milk and ding-dongs are legal (empty containers piled high) , I’m gonna roll.” I’ll watch the blind curves if I’m hauling sheep. No harm, no foul - they sent you there on a fool’s errand.

It could have just as easily have been an attack on you and your men. Tough day for sure. "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry" No matter how much we prepare we can never be truly ready for everything that will come across our paths in life. We make the best decisions we can with the information we have at any given moment. I see no fault here, just a circumstantial situation. Lots of hings will go wrong after a SHTF situation. How we psychologically deal with it will carve out our future chances of survival. Thank you for sharing this tough story.

David, I have been a sub for a while. Been watching your videos and I can definately agree with most everything you say because it is all spot on. The only thing in question is when it comes to distater because you truly never know which might happen. However you are spot on with be ready for anything advise. Been through alot myself but never been to war (yet). I did not join because when I became of age, my government was about as useful as a mentally challanged person on bad steroids. If it keeps up, I know we will see war here at home again for the first time since the Cival War. I do however have a good quote that may provide you with some good ideas to help break some people of some very bad habits. This quote is by an Ancient Greek Philosopher. " It is the nature of the wise to resist pleasures, but the foolish to be a slave to them." Epictetus This I think is one of the wisest things I know of. It is because people become slaves to their pleasures in life that they forget what hard times are like. When people forget their hard times in life, they tent to forget their history as a nation. When people forget their hitory, they tend to repeat that very same history that they had forgotten. It all has to do with becoming a slave to your pleasures and let material things dictate your life and decision making. Because of this, too many people rely on gizmos and technology. This makes them unable to perform critical thinking in a distater situation. This is also a cause to poor planning and preparedness due to complacency. Just some food for thought for some future videos bud. Thanks for taking valuable time out of your day and your life to provide such good and to the point videos. Definately a blessing to have these videos availible at this time. Keep up the good work and thank you and Engineer 775 for showing us all what it means to be an American!! Maine Prepper and the Patriot Nurse are also excellant people to gain instruction from. I am a hillbilly from West Virginia, a skilled mechanic and a truck driver. I own my semi and believe me, it is getting bad. Lately I sit days at a time because there is an increasingly dwendling supply of freight. Would love the opportunity to meet all of you, Maine Prepper, Patriot Nurse and Engineer 775 and have lunch and some coffee and talk about these important things and discuss ideas and play with some scenarios. Would be fun and worth while to talk to all of you.

I appreciate you making this video. There are many of us who've never had any experience with what war really is. It's a little sobering to hear real life stories of what happens, when guns come into play. I've never had to use my weapon, and although I like to think I'm ready to defend my family; the reality is...I don't look forward to it. I try to be prepared for what's coming...but how can you really prepare yourself to take a life? I just want to make sure no innocent people get hurt... ~

Great video. I couldn't agree more. I have tried to explain it to my friends & family that if SHTF and WROL applies...it's now survival of the fittest and sometimes you have to trample the weak and hurdle the dead in order to protect you & yours. It's an ugly way to think, but like you said, you have to do whatever you need to do in order to protect your family.

Very good video with a damn good point. You are taking all someone ever had or ever will have when you decide to pull that trigger. In a crisis/ self defense situation you cannot allow yourself to over-think or over analyze what is going on but at the same time you have to be aware of the serious consequences of what you are doing. Thank you for telling this story SP.

Good word. Living in a community in a WROL situation will mean a need for a high degree of risk management. In setting up your TCP you thought keeping a low profile was important and mitigated some of the risk but it created some as well. In the small teams I have worked in (LE, SAR, not military) everyone is a safety officer and can call a stop if something is unsafe. It is important that we incorporate some safeguards related to safety such as having a safety officer other than the leader.

This was a good video to put up. Some people have too many macho ideas that ain't well thought out and they would end up doing this kinda thing every damn day. Being from a family that has farmed sheep since 1565, I can tell you you're right about the sheep stopping the boy being killed. There's a bit of meat but way more guts in them, plus wool fibres are SUPER tough (normal wool clip should never break when pulled either end by hand, pull as hard as you want/can).

So many variables and no combat situation can ever be the same. Stay flexible. Yes train hard and do your best to think logically to make sound decisions in the most stressful and taxing situations when you will more than likely be in shock especially the first time your shot at, do what's right but don't second guess your self, that can get you, your family and your brothers killed. No matter what people are gonna get killed. Do your best to protect your family and yourself even if it's the wrong decision, better than indecision.
@anigiainvhi179911 жыл бұрын
The best of intentions can go awry. This is also a good example of why combat troops should never be used within the States for security of any type. Not to take away from any soldiers but they are trained to expect the worst and over reaction is so very easy in just such a situation.

there are all sorts of "what if scenarios" that could happen, and do happen daily. That is exactly why training and a firm understating of what to do is so important. There are SOOOOO many people that think the gun is going to save them and while the gun MIGHT scare some criminals, its not wise to bank on it.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice. I am sorry for the burden you have to carry. Romans 8:28. My dad was in the Battle of the Bulge. He took a piece of Panzer shrapnel in his back, which I still have. About as big as your index finger. He was also the guy in his squad that carried the BAR. He took out a German sniper in a bell tower after the Lt. was shot. He saved his whole platoon. He only told me a few stories. Mostly kept them to himself. The scars of war run deep
