About that i mean all the countries citizens in the UE Actually vote for the candidate they prefer and the one that has gotten more votes get elected president... Still Politicians have WAY TOO MUCH POWER, and that is reality not BS or fairy tales told by politicians.... In italy for the EU decision we are paying an heavy price we italian citizens for the convenience mainly of Germans and French. Its clear that EU want to turn italy on the clandestines camp of EU,its clear that italy has to end up like greece... (She is the Speaker of the House of Representatives) Second, the American people do not elect their President directly. This is done through the electoral college. For example, in 2016 Hillary Clinton got more votes than Donald Trump, but Trump became the 45th President of the United States. So yeah, poor example. Maybe it would be a good idea to (at least) do brief fact-checking before commenting.
