This is my second go to ball in league. I always start with my intense fire (pin down) and as soon as it starts flipping through the head I switch to the all road (also pin down). It allows me to stay playing over third arrow out to 7-10 board and easily make the arc back to the pocket. Then later in the game I just increase speed to keep the same line. Love this ball.

Never liked any of the High Road series balls until this one. The All Road with polish on it straight down 2nd arrow hits the friction and makes a quick decisive left turn into the 1-3 pocket. I use polish on all of my balls so that they completely ignore the mid lane to save it's rotation and energy for the friction and this ball reacts well to the way i bowl.

@LukeRosdahl5 жыл бұрын
They're actually really similar shapes, the X just has a lot more length and pop. You could use this one first and when the lanes transition you could ball down to the X and have a really similar look.

Good Review. Seems like the shape is pretty sharp as opposed to what I'm used to seeing from Hyroad line. Guessing that's most likely from the nano coverstock? Looks like a good ball! Could definitely find a spot in most bags.
@LukeRosdahl5 жыл бұрын
Actually I find it to be smoother than the rest of the Hyroad line, but the traction is definitely due to the Nano cover.

I've had this ball almost a year and a few months ago it just died. The hook absolutely dissapeared. Tried sanding down to 2k this week but that seemed to make it skid more and not want to hook up and go. Mid rev and 13mph bowler because my shoulder cant handle throwing harder. It was also drilled pin up. I loved this ball initially but man, I'm at a loss on what to do to bring it back to life.
@LukeRosdahl4 жыл бұрын
MrMongerkhan Just needs an oil extraction, the preferred method is a Detox treatment if your shop has that, or even if they just have one of the small ball ovens that’s better than nothing
@MrMongerkhan4 жыл бұрын
Sorry should have said that as well. Had that dont last Tuesday before league on the same premise.
@LukeRosdahl4 жыл бұрын
Huh. Well I’d get rid of the surface or not go that strong on it, but the oil extraction should have done something. Was it actually a Detox or an oven? Ovens aren’t nearly as effective as a Detox

Hmm.... Good to know. I'm here reading everyone's comments on their ball reaction. I'm getting one drilled up this or next week... Not sure how i want it laid out yet. Shoot me strait boss how does it stack Does this ball have a quantum effect as far as hitting power at the pins I asked storm if they offered a thick shell cover that could stack up to a quantum on energy and power at the pins and they told me all hyroads lol opinion please
@LukeRosdahl5 жыл бұрын
Energy and power is relative to matching up with the condition, but yeah, these are built exactly like the Quantums. Core, cover. The Quantums are built for more oil, so they hook more, but ball build is the same.
@keithmahler42365 жыл бұрын
So being I’m a 15 mph 200-250 rev stroker for this ball I would probably want the pin next to the ring finger to get a lot of hook on the lane with that high rg?

How does this compare to the iQ tour and phaze 2? I have both, but wondering where it fits in the line up and how I wanna drill the All Road.
@LukeRosdahl3 жыл бұрын
Quite a bit different, a lot weaker core. Goes longer down the lane and is sharper, but not too sharp because of how strong the cover is

@@LukeRosdahl Hmm thanks! Been wondering about this too. I got it as a 2 hand out layout-- felt it went a bit longer with a bit of a weaker back end reaction, but gonna drill it with a thumb some time this week... Could be a late game ball or spare ball lol

Hello sir. Question: Brad Miller himself said that he could see balling down to this ball after something like the phase 2 starts to use up to much energy on tour. I take it you would agree with that statement? That this would be a good step down form something like a phase 2? Thanks.

Hi Luke How would the All Road compare to the Astro Physix? Are they the same, would you ball down to the All Road if the Astro becomes unusable when the oil starts to break down?

Yeah, it would be a good compliment to the Astro, the ball shapes aren't terribly similar, the Astro is longer and stronger. This one is still long, but it's smoother so it should manage transition better.

hey luke, i've got a bunch of balls but i find myself throwing my hy-road nano most of the time, house and sport alike (just shot my 2nd 300 in two months with it a few hours ago :D). i'm looking for something i can circle the lane with later in a tournament block, something that'll really bounce off of friction. the nano can do it all for me in high friction houses, but lower friction houses it tends to be too slow unless i really drop my speed which i'd prefer to avoid if possible. mr. kniffen recommended i grab an OG hy-road (which is what i was considering prior to asking him) but just wanted a second opinion. thanks for your help! (and the great videos of course) stats below: speed: 18-19 mph off hand rev rate: low 500s axis rotation: "normal" release is 50ish axis tilt: somewhere between 0 and 10

Definitely don't go MVP, it's nowhere close to either the All Road or HRN. All Road would be much closer, the HRN shapes more like the Hyroad and the All Road shapes more like the Hyroad Pearl/X, but they feel familiar with the traction and how smooth and controllable they are.

@@LukeRosdahl that's what I thought.. I was just looking for clarification. My pro shop guy always wants me to use a different layout. What lb was the one in the video because the numbers of the 15 and 16 are really different. How different do you think they are?
@LukeRosdahl5 жыл бұрын
They are quite different actually, I throw 15s. 16 has a much lower RG and much higher differential, it's going to roll sooner and heavier and flare a ton more. 15 will be much cleaner through the fronts and sharper down lane. 16 Hyroad should actually be quite a bit stronger than the 15. Find Josh Shoemaker on Facebook, he went from 15 to 16 and he could tell you for sure, but that's what the numbers are telling me.
